Chapter 9 - Betrayal

"Vincent?" Ryker dropped his Staff in shock. His brother, of all people, had decided to betray them? [Oh, wow, who saw that one coming?] 479

"Yes, now. I have a present for you."

Vincent pulled down a handle, which let loose a horde of Lurkers. Ryker pulled out his electric swords and dove right into the horde. Ryker fried multiple Lurkers, watching them collapse to the ground. Cassian seemed to be making good progress to. Ryker felt searing pain across his right arm and immediately stabbed the attacker in the head. [Pretty safe to assume the attacker is a Lurker. Ryker got bit and never turned.] 480

Ryker summoned shards around him, as well as creating a wall to help him in the fight. Ryker used the shards to send multiple Lurkers to the ground.

Vincent was sitting there, his hands around each other.

"Vincent!" Ryker looked over to see what looked like a survivor draw out his gun. "You lied to me! You said we would be helping them, not killing them! I won't tolerate this at all!"

"Max, no," too late, Max was rushing toward Vincent, firing multiple shots, as Vincent sent ice into Max's chest.

"Any last words, Max?" Vincent sneered.

"Yes, you'll die today, Vincent, you'll die..." Max stopped moving, his body going limp and dropping his gun. [Random character shows up: dies.] 481

Another person was fighting off the Lurkers, only to get dragged down. Ryker slammed his elbow into the jaw of one of the Lurkers, smashing it's teeth into it's flesh. Grabbing his left handed sword, Ryker stabbed another in the head, smashing the Lurker into the other one. Ryker jabbed his staff into one of the Lurkers and brought it down to the ground, snapping it's neck with the impact. [More characters with the explicit purpose to die.] 482

Ryker surged forward, slicing off the necks of multiple Lurkers. Ryker looked around him, Lurkers had dropped dead. Although what concerned him the most, was the fact he couldn't find Markus. [So, we won't mention the fact that at no point did it mention Markus was brought into the cave?] 483

"Very nice," Ryker looked up to see Vincent slowly clapping, "Didn't expect you'd survive. Guess you just have to survive this." [No.] 484

A black orb floated in Vincent's hand, Vincent threw it at Cassian, who quickly dodged it. Only until a knife stabbed straight into Cassian's chest.

"The knife which can never be removed," Vincent said with a sneer, "Good luck on surviving me, brother." ["The knife which can never be removed"] 485

"I don't need luck," Ryker leaped up onto the shelf Vincent was standing on. Vincent grabbed his staff and slammed it into Ryker's side, sending Ryker into the cave wall. Vincent stabbed downward toward Ryker's chest, in which Ryker grabbed it, pulled it toward him and in the same instance and kicked Vincent backwards to the ground. [Did Ryker just stab himself in the chest? Also, the main character suffers nothing after being slammed into a cave wall.] 486

Ryker grabbed his staff and marched forward toward Vincent. Vincent swiftly stood up and charged at Ryker. Who dodged Vincent's strike, but wasn't ready for Vincent to strike his feet and trip him. [Ryker has no hurry in trying to kill Vincent.] 487

Ryker hit the ground, his arms splayed out in an attempt to catch himself. Vincent lifted his staff and stabbed Ryker's chest. [Ryker will continue fighting after this stab.] 488

Ryker kicked Vincent's face in the same instance, and barely standing up. Vincent slammed his staff into Ryker's side, and sent Ryker down into the main cave opening. [Flexi-man] 489
