Wind blew lightly as he stood on the edge of a mountain. A lake covered the valley of mountains surrounding him. The lake shimmered in the bright, warm sunlight of the afternoon sun reaching high above him. Ryker gazed across to the opposite side of the lake. More mountains poked out behind a grey, snowy mountain in front of them. Ryker sighed, taking in the nice fresh air. He stepped down onto a rock, making his way down to the lake to get to the other mountain. Ryker walked in reserve along the edge of the shimmering lake. A fish would occasionally come up and look at him, then swim away shortly after. After a very long while, with the sun settling down behind the mountain peaks reaching miles high into the air, he came to a stop at the base of the mountain. He set a mini campfire near him for warmth. He held his dual-point staff in his hands. Observing its sleek, white paint on the base. Near the top, it poked out to two points. Both with half a shard on top of them to project his Divination through. A owl hooted from a nearby tree, Ryker reacted instantly, holding up his staff to the tree. He calmed down after recognizing it as an innocent owl minding it's own business in the trees overhead. Ryker set his Staff down next to him and laid down on the grass, gazing up at the distant stars far from his reach, but not for the people who where way out there. For all he knew it was almost impossible to imagine a 17 year-old going off and completing the most dangerous mission known to every single Occultist in existence. Ryker was proud of himself for doing this mission, even though now he was competing with his brother, Vincent, to get the Diamonds first. He planned on getting the Diamond of Creation. It was supposedly guarded by a Winged Fox, but Ryker disbelieved it. After all, the "Winged Foxes" where a myth, they never truly existed anyways, except in books which involved them. Ryker closed his eyes and let sleep take him. [Exposition dump?] 1

Ryker woke up, a light gentle breeze swept over him as he sat up and looked across the lake. Long shadows loomed over him. Ryker stood up, brushing off dirt from his clothing. He stared up at the tall mountain, preparing his climb upward. Ryker put his staff on his back and placed his foot in a hole on the mountain side. Ryker grabbed onto a ledge and worked his way slowly up. After a long while, he made it to the top of the mountain. The sun was just now reaching up behind the forest which outstretched in front of him like a green blanket reaching for the horizon. Ryker looked down the mountain, a long sheer drop off was in front of him. Only on the outer edges he had a safe place to climb downward and onto the forest floor to continue looking for the Diamond of Creation. Once Ryker reached the bottom of the mountain, the trees loomed high over him, reaching for the sky. Ryker looked ahead, the grass moved softly as he moved onward through the forest. He noticed Mountains poking out of the ground, the sides of them grey with cracks and caves along sides of the mountains. A branch suddenly cracked behind him. Ryker whipped around, pointing his staff at a bush where the sound emitted from. [This scene kinda feels pointless. Won't sin it, but I still stand by my point.]
"Who's there?" Ryker called out, his staff still pointed cautiously at the bush. The person came out of the bush, a white hoodie over his head, he wore white pants and shirt, with a blue cape and strike going from his shoulder down to his waist. Gold and silver sparkled on him, representing a position within the Occultist Fighting Force. ["Occultist Fighting Force"] 2
"Vincent?" Ryker inquired.
The person pulled off his hoodie and looked at Ryker. It was, as Ryker expected, Vincent. [Instead of saying the person is Vincent, we'll call them "the person" until they take off their hoodie because that totally hides his identity.] 3
"Why are you, of all people, here?"
Vincent maintained eye contact with Ryker and calmly replied, "Probably the same reason as to why you're here in this forest."
Ryker jabbed his staff at Vincent, "Then you should get going, shouldn't you?"
Vincent's eyes narrowed at Ryker, hostility flaring in his eyes. "I would say you're right, Ryker, but what about us being brothers? Shouldn't we share the po-"
"Share the power?" Ryker interrupted suddenly, "What, so you can kill me and take it for yourself? I've noticed how selfish and greedy you really are."
Vincent stepped back, "For now, you're the strongest of us, Ryker. But, in due time, you will never have been known as the strongest. I will, and you will just be a little tiny pu-" [Sentence is a tad bit confusing.] 4
"Leave, arguing will do nothing to help us." Ryker shouted.
Vincent nodded, then proceeded to dash away in the green, hazy forest. [Why would Vincent nod? Is he agreeing with Ryker?] 5
Ryker sighed, he faced the far-reaching forest and proceeded on with his journey to find the one thing which could slow down Vincent's quest for power.

After a long while of walking, Ryker's legs ached. Although he had to ignore it. He was at the entrance of the cave to the Diamond of Creation. Ryker breathed in the cool cave air. Pulling out his staff, Ryker stepped forward into the cave. Taking another breath, he stared down the gaping dark hole of the cave. Let's do this. Ryker went all the way into the cave, and not to long after, a red and orange glow emitted from around a corner. Upon rounding it, Ryker stared at what he knew was the Diamond of Creation. Ryker noticed above it was a creature. He wasn't sure what it was, but he knew he had to be cautious. Dying was the last thing Ryker wanted on this mission. Without thinking, Ryker darted over to the necklace and swiftly grabbed it. Whatever it was on the ceiling was awake now. He was too careless. Ryker pointed it's staff at it. [Ryker dehumanizing himself.] 6 I'm so dead now... The creature jumped down from the ceiling and faced him. Ryker's mouth dropped open in awe. He couldn't believe it, Is that...a Winged Fox? In his shock, Ryker dropped his staff. It hit the ground with a metal clank. Ryker expected it to attack, but it didn't.
The Winged Fox pointed it's tail at the wall and a burned in sentence appeared on the cave wall. We believe it's better you have it, Ryker, rather than him. The Winged Fox nodded to Ryker, then vanished into thin air. Ryker's vision blacked out, then came back again on the outside of the cave. The wind blew strongly as the sun set below the horizon.
