Log 7: Time: 2:45 P.M

After that dreadful encounter with Duck we decided to head up the Ffarquar Branch since Thomas or Mavis or even Daisy should be up there. Percy was optimistic that he would find someone and if I'm truthful me and Jeremy were of hoping we would since I don't think I can deal with Jeremy much longer and Percy needs to talk to someone. Anyway we reached Hackenbeck, we did see Daisy butI don't think she's able to be rescued, the buffers had been broken and she was through the back of her shed and well.. Dead.

Percy didn't say much as we went down the line, we passed through Ffarquar Station as no one was there, Suddenly Percy's brakes came on

Percy didn't say much as we went down the line, we passed through Ffarquar Station as no one was there, Suddenly Percy's brakes came on. Jeremy had slammed on the brakes when we came to the old bridge leading to the quarry. I peered out of Percy's cab and saw Mavis dangling off the bridge.

Percy thought quickly and yelled for me to grab a rope and attach it to Mavis and himself

Percy thought quickly and yelled for me to grab a rope and attach it to Mavis and himself. Without hesitation Jeremy and I grabbed a spare rope from Percy's cab and attached it between them. I counted down and told Percy to pull with all his strength to get Mavis back on the rails. I pulled on the reverser and slowly pulled the regulator down and Jeremy poured sand on the rails to maintain grip and eventually Mavis was on the rails.

She was still upset so Percy asked what was wrong, she didn't want to say so we left it at that

She was still upset so Percy asked what was wrong, she didn't want to say so we left it at that. We soon left when we heard a screech from the quarry. After we got off the branchline we decided to stay at Elsbridge for a few days until we know what to do.
