Chapter 13

Zephyr's POV:

After our one-night stand when I first met her, I couldn't stop thinking about her and little things remind me of her, and everywhere I look I see her face and my heart beat starts beating so fast whenever I think of her. I don't know why I'm feeling this way.

And I tried distracting myself by meeting other women, but it didn't work. My mind is still stuck on her.

"Kai, are you okay? I've been calling your name multiple times but you're not answering." My brother Zyke said and I jut forced a smile.

"I'm fine. I just had a stressful day at my classes." I said but he arched her brow and sat beside me.

"I'm your older brother I know when you're not okay. So tell me, what's wrong?" He asked and I sighed and told him everything and he just listened very carefully.

He bit his lower lip and smirked. "There's only one answer to that: you like her." He said and I shook my head.

"No! I can't like her! You're nuts, kuya." I exclaimed and he just laughed and tapped my shoulder.

"I'm not nuts, Zephyr. Because based on what you just said and the way your eyes sparkle whenever you describe her, Just accept it. You're falling for her." He said and I abruptly shook my head and sarcastically laughed.

"And I'm not joking either! I can't like her. She doesn't deserve an asshole like me." I said and his face suddenly became serious.

"You're right, you are an asshole Zephyr for playing and breaking a lot of women's hearts. But you can't control your heart. You'll just keep falling for her without you even noticing it." He said and I sighed.

"No... you don't understand Kuya. This feeling is new to me, and what if I end up hurting her? Just like what I did to the other women. What if, one day, I end up breaking her heart? I don't want to hurt her." I said.

"Zephyr, love is love. Whether you like it or not, love is painful. Despite how much you may love her, we don't live in such fairytales, and we're not perfect, so whether you like it or not, you'll end up hurting her." He said and I looked down and sighed.

"I just don't know what to do. Remember the violet-haired girl in my wallet? I have a feeling that's her." I said and his eyes widened.

"Even better! I know how much you adored that picture of a girl in your wallet, and now that you've found her! You two are fated to be together." He said and I arched my brow and chuckled.

"I'm still not sure if it's really her. I need to figure out first what I'm really feeling towards her." I said.

"Okay, your love life, your choice. I have to go now. My wife is waiting for me." He said and I nodded and smiled.

I was preparing my lessons for tomorrow when my phone suddenly vibrated and when I saw who was chatting, my heart suddenly started to beat fast but I chose to ignored it.

"No! You idiot! You can't like her." I said to myself before reading her text.

Hello Zephyr, Are you free right now? Can we meet?

My brows furrowed and I bit my lower lip to stop myself from smiling. "Snap the fuck out of it, Zephyr." I said to myself.

Should I accept? I mean, I have a lot on my plate, plus it's the end of the semester, and I need to prepare some lessons for my classes as well as tutoring her sister.

Good eve, Yes, I'm free right now. Where do you want to meet?

Fuck. I can't help it and I really want to see her right now.
