June 25, 1976

After hours of deliberation, we unanimously chose to get Regulus away from that awful household.

"Get out of your bloody room!" Peter shouted, pounding on Sirius's door.

"One minute!"
"We gave you an hour's worth of minutes already!"
"Fine!" He huffs.

As you might be able to tell, Sirius is reluctant to go back to that house, even though he was the one to propose that idea to the rest of us. We were all thinking of doing something like that, but we never landed on a concrete plan until now.

Everything about today was perfect. Orion and Walburga Black was holding a masquerade party to celebrate the new 'heir' of the household, so we could Just smoothly go into the house and take Regulus out from beneath their grimy little claws. The Potters had been woefully invited, you could tell by the way they sent out the letter: 'it is not required of you to bring any gifts of sorts to congratulate our only child...'

We decided to attend in their stead with James as the Potter representative, they didn't deserve to see the contempt that would be directed at them no matter what they did if they went.

Just because the Potters decided to befriend and support muggles and muggleborns, they were shunned from the Pure 28. Almost every family in the Pure 28 contain blood supremacist one way or another.

"Hey." I whisper softly to Sirius outside his door. "I know it's hard to even think about going back to that house and worse to actually go, but we'll be here with you every step of the way. Once we get Regulus out of that house, you both will never have to return or even look at the house."

I don't get a response for a while, the chattering of the other three downstairs is the only thing I can actually hear until I hear shuffling and Sirius's door finally opens.

"Let's do this quick before I have the urge to hide in my room again." He sighs.

I give him a soft smile that he roughly returns and we finally make our way downstairs.

"You look beautiful." James compliments me, kissing my forehead.
"And you look handsome." I return it.

"Lets get going before we're late lovebirds." Remus urges us to hurry up, smiling.

We do as he says and finally make our way to the party.

It doesn't surprise a majority of us when we finally reach the glamoured out house of the Black family. Flowers adorned the entrance to the house, which was the shocking factor seeing how the rest of the house was dark and gloomy, but what didn't shock us was the fake gold leaves that accompanied the flowers. We hadn't even made our way inside yet, but by this elaborate display, you could tell how much they wanted to show that they treasured their son.

"This is where you grew up?" Peter inquires, astonished at the view of light pouring out from the multiple windows of the mansion in front of him.

"If you can even call that growing up." He scoffs before walking forward without a word, followed closely by James.

"If I grew up in a place like this, maybe my family could be whole." Peter states aimlessly at the house.

"There is not enough maybes in the world to grant any of our wishes Pete... the only thing you can do is hold onto your mother while you still can." I comfort him, giving him a side squeeze.

Remus quickly pulls us along to catch up to Sirius and James in the front.

"How do we do this?" James asks, pumping himself up.

"You didn't discuss this?" Sirius returns the question with another.

"We know nothing about your house Sirius, how the bloody h*ll were we supposed to plan it?" Remus retorts.
