August 26, 1976

Effy and Monty came back with a cart, in the front of it was little reins that people back in the day used to use to attach to horses to take them around places. They attached it to their car and brought all their things home.

In the cart were hay bales. The neighbors had left for a trip a few days ago and asked the Potters to watch over their horses. They agreed to help, but just two days ago, the horses had managed to escape and ate the remaining food supply from their owners for them. They've been getting some substitute food for the horses until they can get some roughage and other sorts of food for the weeks while they're away.

"Can we have the cart?" James pleaded with Monty earnestly, already eyeing the cart.

"If you stay out of the stables and stop bothering the horses, I don't mind whatever it is you want." Monty relents and shoos us away.

Monty had been taking care of the horses for a few hours after Effy had to leave again to work.

"We'll take good care of it!" James exclaims, running towards the cart now.

"Just don't die, your mother would k*ll me!" Monty yelled back when James grew farther away.

"I did it!" James runs out to tell us outside of the stables.

"Yes!" Sirius congratulated him. "Can we do it now?"

"Please don't." Remus and I groan.

"It'll be great." James reassures us for the 50th time in a row, going through with it even when we protested against it.

"Lets do something else Potter."
"Belle. I guarantee that you will have the greatest time of your life, if I break it, you can break my heart whenever you please."
I laugh. "Mr. Heartbreaker is giving me permission to break his heart?"

"As harshly as you would like." He grins. "Say yes."

"Sure." I answer in between laughs.

James turns to Sirius with a smile.

"Padfoot. We are bloody good to go!" He cheers before turning towards the cart.
"Ready Pete?" James asks the mouse sitting on the cart, smiling once it squeaks and continuing to talk to it.

"When will he realize that's not Pete?" Remus wonders with me. "He went to the loo a few minutes ago."

"He'll figure it out." I tell him.

Approximately 20 minutes later, he eventually does, but the fact that he had been talking to a random mouse for 20 minutes astonishes all of us. The dumbfounded look falling on James' face when Peter said 'hi' once he got back is one of the greatest things I have ever seen.

"We're not talking about this." James states while walking away with Sirius and Peter.

"We're not done!" I yelled after them, chuckling with Remus once they were out of sight.

They came back a few moments later, in their animagus forms.

"I don't want to do this." Remus tells us.

Sirius barks in response and James does the same in his deer form.

"Live in the moment Lune, we're going back to Hogwarts soon, so let's have fun." I encourage him, pulling him with me just as the others position themselves in front of the cart.

James being in the front reminded me of Santa and his reindeers. I didn't hesitate to tell him that. I was only met with a huff and I laughed.

"Don't let him convince you to cast a spell once he realizes."
"Never." He chuckles. "He'll probably find more joy in this than us."

Before I can even respond, they start to slowly take off, inching away from the stables bit by bit to the open woods.

The two eventually matched each other's speed and I don't know if that's a good thing or not, I'm leading towards not.

"Sh*t!" Remus curses while ducking from a tree branch.

"Slow down!" I Yelp over the running, holding on tight to Peter in his rat form after he nearly fell off.

They finally slow down, just enough for us to catch our breath. I have to admit, when they finally reached a steady place, it was the most amazing experience.

The wind flowing through the air while they ran. It must've been a hilarious sight if anyone else saw. A deer and a dog pulling along two humans and a rat on a cart, even when I look at them now, I try my hardest not to laugh in order to not lose my balance.

"Woooooo!" I exclaim out once the breeze finally hits us.

Every part of this was perfect.

The green leaves basically flying past us as we move.
The wind gracing our faces.
The laughter echoing through the trees from Remus and I.

Joy.
Absolute joy.

This summer was amazing.

A multitude of feelings flew across me these three months and every part of me would live through it again.

My friends, this family, every part of it was so fulfilling.

This moment just made everything so much better than I could ever imagine.

Never had I feel so full.

Full of happiness.
Full of life.
Full of love.
