Confession

That night I slept in Arthur's arms, they were warm and comforting. I would've thought he would've been cold. Turns out, he was cold, it was me that was warm. Us Werewolves are naturally warm, Vampires are cold, and Witches are normal. The next morning I woke up to Arthur at the military HQ. I decided to get ready for the day. Lately I've been dressing up but today I want to go lazy. Leggings and spaghetti string top.

I decided to get tea and went to watch TV. Only to find my biggest disappointment.

"Breaking news! King Arthur and Princess Elena getting a little-" the news lady grins at the camera "too close?"

The view changed to a dark-skinned male "That's right Ruth! This is an exclusive scene of the two royals in Red moon River getting" he smiles "a little too close, they ended up sharing a very passionate kiss...well more than one kiss."

Ruth smiles "Yep Tom, we've also received word from her fiancé this morning too!"

The scene changed to Jacob walking out of his palace and the press surrounding him. One of the press members asked "Chief Jacob, how do you feel about your fiancée getting intimate with King Arthur?"

He looks irritated by the press "Me and Elena don't even want to get married. Her father, King Miguel, is forcing us!"

"So you're okay with her kissing another man while you two are engaged?"

"It doesn't bother me, I don't want to marry her."

The screen goes back to Ruth "We also got her fathers opinion on her secret love affair."

The screen changed to the Persianian throne room..

"King Miguel, how do you feel about this affair between King Arthur and your daughter?"

"I don't agree with it at all! She agreed to marry Jacob for the sake of her throne. Vampires are sinful murderous creatures...I'm disappointed in her."

"So this marriage is about power?"

"It's about her power!"

"She's made it clear she doesn't love Jacob at all though."

"I don't care, power is power!"

Suddenly my mother comes to the screen, her sun kissed skin is as elegant as usual, her brown eyes sparkle in the camera light and she whips her black hair at my father "I agree with her movement!"

"Queen Moinette, why is that?"

Mother stands tall and firm, as if she's taking pride and confidence with her words "My daughter is following in my footsteps. Breaking the laws and changing the fate of our Kingdom. Maybe even Rolumpuses fate as well. History was never made by those who followed the rules. Last year I saw Elena and King Arthur bond with each other while in the bunker so I support anything they do. Her father can take a L for the loss!" mom sticks her tongue out at dad.

I kind of smile "Even though I'm breaking so many laws, my mother has the guts to stand up and be ten toes behind me."

The news reporter ends their chat "Thank you, your majesties."

I turn off the TV and sigh. What a big mess I've made and such a big mess I have to clean up. I don't think anything will change fathers mind. I might just have to put up with the fact my love life isn't even truly mine.

After I managed to calm down due to my very stressful morning I decided to send out an email to the global news channel and tell them I want them all in Rolumpus. I have a very important announcement.

Arthur still isn't back from the HQ so in this battle I have to go in alone. I put on a slim long white dress, white heels, and my crown. My makeup as usual was done by the best makeup artist to exist.

I walk out onto the balcony and everyone begins to cheer. Everyone from everywhere besides Jenoviah was here.

I put my hands up to signal silence "Good evening Rolumpus and our two neighboring Kingdoms!" everyone cheered before I put my hands up again "I called for a confrontation, so I can address everyone with my personal decisions" I sigh "There was a small incident between King Arthur and I. I admit I am in the wrong for kissing another man while I'm engaged to another." I take in a deep breath "But not as a Queen, as a person hear me when I say, I do not wish to marry Chief Jacob."

Everyone gasped.

"The only reason I'm engaged is because my father will not give me my rightful throne until I am married...to my cousin unfortunately."

Everyone gasped again.

"I, Princess Elena Willow Adolpha-Delvaux of Persiania, am not in love with Chief Jacob of Kingstone. Yet, I'm in love with another..." I smile "I'm in love with King Arthur of Rolumpus."

A bunch of chatter comes from the crowd before I raise my hands up to silence them once more "I hope my father is listening to this because my love for King Arthur will only grow stronger by the day. I will go down fighting for what I truly believe in. What I don't believe in is arranged marriages based upon power and control."

Everyone starts clapping and rejoicing, I finish my last hurrah "On August 18th, 2025 a rule will be established stopping any and all parents from deciding who their child marries without the 'child's' permission."

Everyone from Persiania goes crazy in excitement. In Persiania we have a bad habit of parents choosing who people marry because of family ties and power. I think that old tradition and belief is laid to sleep.

I turn to reenter the palace as I'm met with big red eyes "So was this about admitting your love for me or saying you won't marry Jacob?" he leans on the doorframe.

I smile "Both."

He eyes my dress "You look gorgeous."

I walk into his arms and press my face into his chest "Thank you."

He kisses my head "I'll find you a way out of this."

Honestly, from the bottom of my heart, I wish to marry Arthur.

I laid in my bed angry at the world. I couldn't fall asleep, I then heard the piano from Arthur's room playing. Arthur apparently never sleeps. Vampires don't have the ability to sleep. Which is a bummer because sleeping is how I avoid my problems.

I open the door and walk down the dark hallway towards his bedroom. I see him playing the piano so elegantly and softly as usual. I walk straight towards his bed and pull the covers over me.

The piano suddenly stops and he's laying right next to me, he puts an arm over my belly and kisses me "Good-night beautiful" he plays with my hair till I successfully fall asleep.
