The Baby

I slept in my new bed nicely. With the way my mental stability is lately, I have no idea how anyone can trust me alone by myself. Any minute now I could lose my mind and jump out a window into the ocean or set the forest on fire or make a dragon come from nowhere and burn the city to the ground. The Acana Ocean is the prettiest Ocean to ever exist. I rolled over and my phone suddenly started ringing.

I picked it up and it was Joshua "Elena!"

I stretched "Is everything okay?"

I could hear Camille hyperventilating in the background "No! I'm going into labor!"

I suddenly woke up super fast "Hey! I'm on my way! Keep breathing!"

I jump out of bed and hang up, I go and throw black leggings on and a red shirt. I grab my purse and car keys and rush over to their house that is 10 minutes away.

I bang on the door "Joshua! Open up!"

He opens the door "She's in our bedroom."

I go up the stairs to Camille laying in bed crying "Elena! Help me!"

I began to stroke her hair "Hey, it's okay. Breathe for me."

She tries breathing but starts hyperventilating again "No..."

I rub her stomach "Hey, breathe girl, breathe for me so we can get the baby out."

Joshua goes to her legs and rubs her knees "We're going to have our baby soon."

I stroke her hair again "Okay, you got to breathe for me then when they're ready they'll come crawling out of you. Okay?"

She began to slow her breathing and groaned a few times "Someone please, get them out!"

I rubbed her stomach again, easing the little one "Don't give your mommy a hard time" green dust came out of my hand.

Camille begins to have contractions "I think it's time!"

I grab a towel and put it underneath her then hold her hand "Okay when it starts to hurt squeeze my hand okay! Push when you're ready."

She begins screaming in agony and almost breaks my hand. Eventually the baby plops into Joshua's arms and Camille's stomach goes down dramatically.

I take a wet cloth and pat her forehead "You did an amazing job! You're such a strong woman!"

She begins to cry and Joshua cuts the umbilical cord and holds the baby in his arms. The baby cries and Joshua has never had the most loving and kind face to ever exist at this moment. He walks over to Camille and gives the baby to her.

Camille begins to cry more "My baby girl" and rubs the baby's head and kisses her.

Joshua smiles at me "Here's your $20, it's a girl."

Camille smiles "She's a Vampire!"

I roll my eyes and give him a $20 bill. Camille was so amused by her baby's birth. I'm so confident that Camille and Joshua will be the best of parents to ever exist.

I decided to go home but on my drive home took a country street. I began to see something in the road as I whipped around a corner. My headlights caught a guy standing in the middle of the road. I slam on my breaks real quick.

I jumped out the car and searched around to make sure I didn't run into anything or anyone. But when I searched around, nothing was there. This is a part of the wild delusions...it doesn't get better from this point and beyond.
