I'm Not a Princess

After my exciting blood bath with Alistar last night I'm pacing nervously across my bedroom. The masquerade ball is later today. I also heard from Diane, she's flying over to talk to me. I'm severely anxious about telling her I made out with the guy she had a baby with. Even though he is my fiancé. I hate myself but Alistar made us do it. I continue to pace, getting more and more anxious as the clock ticks. I don't even feel like the Princess I'm supposed to be. What am I going to say? Is she going to hate me? Will she not want to think of dating Jacob again? Will she despise us? Will she hate him?

There's a sudden knock at my door "Princess?"

I sigh "Come in" I stop pacing and gasp for air. I don't want to do this but this is the right thing to do. I feel like Diane has feelings for Jacob and I should tell her about our wrongdoings.

She opens the door "Good evening, Princess."

I curtsey "Good evening your majesty."

She giggles "Hello."

I bite my lip "Have you and Jacob been talking at all?"

She smiles "No, our conversations revolve around our son."

"So, we need to talk because I feel like you have feelings for Jacob."

She sits on my bed "Very few feelings."

I stand up and continue to pace and say "I didn't want to be the one to tell you but I am a woman and I feel like you'll hear me out better than you'll hear Jacob out."

"Alright, hit it."

I said "I'll start from the beginning" I placed my hands together "so it started the morning I got a letter from my father about our masquerade ball. Later that morning Arthur's ex-fiancée shows up claiming to still actually be his fiancée telling me that he's been playing and lying to me the entire time."

"Oh my god, Elena...I'm so sorry."

I sigh "I'm far from over" I run a hand through my hair "I went to go talk to my first love. Which is a powerful Warlock I rekindled with years ago and we decided to start dating again. Things got serious and we decided to get engaged. Well that ended shortly after I caught him cheating on me in our bed and I left him. He was abusive and beat on me a lot, he neglected me, and used me. He is a super powerful Warlock."

Diane rolled her eyes "He sounds like a prick."

I smile weakly "Well to my fault after I talked to Alistar I made a deal with him. I went to Jacob's palace drunk" I sigh "I was off my rocker and things got serious."

Diane's eyes dropped to the floor "What happened?"

I paced around "All we did was make out, after a while he stopped me because it felt wrong and it was very awkward for us."

She exhaled in relief "Is that all?"

"I drank a lot of alcohol and backed out. He placed me on his bed and I rested till the next morning."

She sighed "Did he sleep with you?"

I shook my head "No, he never got inside the bed with me. He told me after placing me in the bed he never touched me afterwards."

She bit her lip anxiously "Ok..."

I sigh "Later to find Arthur called Jacob and snapped on him. Then told him he noticed the mark of Alistar on Brianna's hand which meant he was controlling her. Jacob told me he noticed a mark on my ankle that night and he had the same mark on his neck. So I decided to go confront Alistar about controlling us."

Her eyes went big "Oh this is getting serious."

I sighed "Well long story short I snapped on him, he beat me nearly to death not literally because I'm a tough cookie, I tried to kill him, he tried to kill me, I knocked a wine bottle over his head, and killed him. Killing the possessor is the only way of breaking the compulsion. So I killed him."
