Kim headed out. He had a bodyguard with him but he didn't need any protection. He was capable of taking down five men single-handedly. He didn't even need his gun. He knew Kinn had said everything because he wasn't thinking straight. His brother wasn't stupid. He knew how manipulative his father can be. Kinn had always been bossed around by their father. And honestly Kinn did it to protect his brothers. If Kinn hadn't stepped up, Kim would've been put in line and Tankhun would not have been able to heal, not even a little. He knew his father was hungry for power and a hungry man can devour even his own family, his own kids. In this case it was Kinn. He understood Kinn's side. He wouldn't hurt Porsche. He'll just stop them. As much as he can.
That way Kinn would get time to sort things out, find the culprit and calm himself down. He had been brainwashed by their father to go against Porsche. Kim pitied his brother but he himself was part of the conflict now.

Sometimes you can't pick a side. You just fulfil your duty. You'll get hurt either way.

Porsche and Vegas had entered the hall, the one that had stairs to almost every room in the house. Kim stood on top of the stairs shooting at whoever he saw below. He had promised his brother. He had a duty to fulfil. He had no choice.

Porsche entered the hall. Kim aimed at him but missed. He tried again but failed. Porsche kept cover and was moving about a lot. It made him a difficult target. Vegas was covering him. They both were very coordinated. Their duo seemed unbeatable.

Kim had to do something quickly, his men were dying left and right.

"Drop your weapons and surrender!" He yelled.
"Why should we?" Porsche yelled back.
"Or else we will hurt Porchay. We have him. If you want your brother alive, surrender now." Kim responded. He had assumed Chay was locked up since he couldn't find him in his room. It hurt him to say this but he had to. He didn't have any other plan. He wanted his bluff to work to calm the other side down. They could talk it out maybe.

Porsche laughed in the middle of the shoot out.
"You think you have him?" He asked, still laughing hysterically.

What's so funny?

"I must say P'Kim is very smart." Chay's voice was heard from downstairs.
Kim froze. Porchay was downstairs? With his brother and Vegas? He peeped down from behind a pillar.
Chay was being covered by three men. Porsche kept a close eye on his younger brother, who was also holding a pistol.
Chay was part of the fight.

"Chay, stay out of this." Kim's voice trembled.
"I'd like you to stop me, Phi."
A shower of bullets was fired towards Chay. He hid behind a pillar, safe from the shots but Kim was sweating thinking about Chay getting hurt.

"NO!" He yelled. "Stop firing!" he instructed the guards to vacate the area. Porsche and Vegas took the opportunity and headed upstairs.
Kim rushed towards Chay, carefully shooting at the people who covered him. He cleared everyone out of his way and grabbed Chay's arm.

"What are you doing? This is dangerous! You could've been hurt!"
"Or locked up by you apparently."
Kim fell silent. He had said all that to negotiate with Porsche. He didn't mean any of it.
"That was a lie. I never mean any harm."
"How am I supposed to trust you?"
"I have the evidence. I know my father did it. I have proof for it."

Chay looked intrigued. Kim's evidence could help get Chay some support, although highly unlikely and it would mean his brother was right. That's all the confirmation he needed.

"Why are you fighting for him then?"
Chay questioned.
"He's my family." Kim replied letting go of Chay's arm.
"I guess this means we are enemies."
Kim looked down at his feet. He didn't want to hear that word. He never wanted to be Chay's enemy. Not even in his dreams.

"Don't say that."
"Why don't you kill me?"
"You're not my enemy."
"I am."
"No you aren't."
"You can't deny the truth."

A gunshot was heard.

Pete had arrived.
"Porchay, get behind me." He yelled as Chay leapt hid behind him. Kim took cover behind a pillar and was alert again. But Pete had already passed a taser to Chay. The younger man approached Kim, who got distracted by Chay's innocent looking eyes. His only weakness.

Chay sent a wave of electricity through Kim's body. He had used the taser.
"I'm sorry." Chay whispered before planting a soft kiss on his forehead.

"Pete! You betrayed the family too!" A guard nearby yelled before getting shot.
"I am here to protect my man." Pete announced proudly. He wasn't aware of the plan fully but once he figured out what Vegas had been planning he couldn't help but go. He had come close to losing Vegas earlier too. He was in the same situation as Kim and Chay. To fight someone you love. But times had changed. Pete would now fight for someone he loved.

"Let's go find Vegas." He told Porchay as both of them headed upstairs.

Kim was lying on the floor unable to move. Why did any of this matter? Why was he fighting a war he never wanted to be part of? He hated every bit of it.

Pete and Chay entered Korn's room only to find Kinn being lectured by his father.
"Kim was stronger. You were never good enough."
Porsche heard the man say. His blood boiled with anger. He pointed his gun at Korn, who didn't look fazed.  He turned calmly towards Porsche.

"So you figured out. I guess I was too late." He smiled a creepy smile. It would've made anyone shiver.
"I will fucking kill you." Porsche took a step closer.
Vegas had pointed his gun at Kinn first but changed his aim to Korn after realising Kinn wasn't gonna do anything. He wasn't defending his father anymore, neither was he defending himself. Vegas identified a broken man.

Korn laughed at Vegas. "You are here for revenge as if your father had noble intentions. He was part of the plan to get rid of Namphueng. But he messed up. He started feeling greedy. He wanted to overthrow me too. If only he knew his place-"
Vegas had stepped closer, his gun really close to Korns chest.

"Pa? What are you saying?" Kinn intervened, utterly shocked by whatever his father had revealed.

"Look at this stupid son of mine. I really thought I could change you, make you stronger. But you are useless. Be grateful I didn't hit you like Gun did to Vegas here."

Vegas was so close to pulling the trigger when Pete yelled.
"Don't do it, Vegas."
Vegas turned back to see Porchay and Pete standing with guns in their hands. There was blood on Pete's shirt.

"Why are you here, Pete?" Vegas stepped back. He checked Pete for any injuries.
"Don't worry this is not my blood." Pete assured.

"You fuckers are too soft. This is the mafia. It's all about strategically overthrowing everyone. You have to be strong to rule. Get up, Kinn. I give you another chance. Kill this man." Korn pointed at Porsche.
"Kill him and take the power." He continued.

Kinn couldn't look at Porsche. He took out his pistol. He hesitated before throwing it away. He could never hurt Porsche. He loved him. He had thought about it. He had been carrying out his father's orders for so long. He was practically his fathers slave. It was time to end the cycle. His father had already started calling him all sorts of things. A coward. An idiot. Was Kinn really that bad? His knees gave away. He was just so exhausted by carrying the his father's will, his brother's freedom and his wounded heart. Porsche caught him before he hit the ground.
"I love you." Kinn whispered
"I love you too, Kinn." Porsche wiped the tears from Kinn's face. He stroked his cheek with one hand, while aiming the gun at Korn with the other. Kinn had his arms wrapped around Porsche now to show that he trusted and supported his lover father than his bossy father.

Korn was losing it. He took out his own gun but it was too late.

"Fuck this old rat." Porchay said pointing his own gun at Korn, who was at a very close distance.
"You all waste too much time."

He pulled the trigger.
