It has been ten days since Porchay talked to Kim. He had asked for time to figure his feelings out but with every passing day he became impatient.
"I've forgive P'Kim then why am I not able to be with him? I still have feelings for him I can't lie about that." He thought to himself. He had been skipping classes too. He occasionally showed up to submit work or get updates but hadn't attended university sincerely for the past few days. Kim obviously was noticing this. He was concerned for the younger boy but gave space to him. He didn't intervene.
Chay was grateful for the privacy he was getting. He had not expected such a reaction from the previously possessive and overprotective guy. He was impressed by the immense improvement Kim had shown.
"P'Khun really taught him well." Chay said to himself. He had his guitar tuned and was strumming it mindlessly in his room.
Playing his guitar always reminded him of Kim."Chay! Come downstairs! Look who's here for you!" Porsche yelled from the kitchen.
"Coming!" Chay put his guitar away. His brother was back home for a short visit. Porchay felt at ease these few days. His mind was clearer and he was happier. He loved his brother a lot and Porsche just being there helped him in a way.
"Chay, good morning." Macau stood in the living room.
"Good morning. What brings you here?"
"Nothing much, buddy. I took a day off today and Pete told me that Porsche told him that you weren't at university either."
"What-"
"Basically, do you wanna hang out?"
"Give me ten minutes. I'll get ready."Chay left the room smiling. He was looking forward to spending time with Macau since they fit well together.
He could hear Porsche talk to Macau downstairs as he changed his outfit.
"Okay. I'm ready." He announced entering the living room."Cool. Lets go to a store and buy some snacks. There's video games at home. I was thinking of trying those." Macau explained.
"Sounds fun!"
Macau helped Chay wear the helmet and they got on his shiny black bike.
"My brother would love this." Chay said, hugging Macau's waist to gain balance.
"I've started loving bikes because of my brother too. Maybe it's a big bro thing." Macau joked earning a bright smile from Chay.
"Cute." Macau commented. Chay simply blushed in response. He wasn't used to compliments. The boys bought lots of stuff for their gaming session.
"Fun fact, P'Kinn is a big video game nerd." Macau stated as they played.
"Really? He doesn't look like one!" Chay exclaimed.
They continued to play for hours.
After several rounds Pete entered their room."Chay, Macau, get out of here! It's already time for dinner. And we have to send Chay home too. Porsche must be waiting."
Shit. He forgot about Porsche. Chay looked at his phone.
16 missed calls and several texts from Porsche. He gulped. His brother was going to kill him.
"Don't worry. I told Porsche you're with us. He won't kill you." Pete said as if reading Chay's mind.
"Since it's late already, shouldn't you just stay?" Macau asked.
"I-"
"Yes! That would be best. I'll get the room ready." Pete interrupted before Chay could protest.
"And I'll tell Porsche." He added before leaving the room.Chay took a sip from his soda can. Macau stretched as he got up.
"That was super fun! Wanna watch horror movies all night? I will borrow some big bro's collection."
"I love horror movies! Let's go!" Chay was delighted. He and Macau went along really well. It was like he had found his long lost best friend.
They quickly returned after having food and hogged up the room given to Porchay.Chay was having so much fun with Macau he didn't realise it was already 3am in the morning. The duo heard birds chirping outside and realised they had spent the whole night consuming media.
"Damn! It's 3am already?" Macau had another idea ready.
"Let's sneak out, go to the main family house and scare P'Khun."
"What!? Why?"
"That's a long story. I'll tell you sometime later."
"Okay. But I don't want to trouble him. Besides isn't it dangerous?"
"That's the fun part." Macau grinned, a very mischievous expression on his face.
"So are you in?" He asked Chay.
"Only to accompany you. I claim no responsibility for the consequences of this prank."
"Whatever."They silently left the minor family house and got on Macau's black bike.
Macau had taken white sheets with holes cut in them to guise as the sheet-ghost in order to scare Khun.
They reached the main family house and convinced the guards after assuring them they carried no weapons and were family.
"Come on, Chay. Put this on." Macau passed him the white bedsheet.
"Is it really necessary?" Chay protested. But Macau simply put the sheet on Chay's head.
They both moved towards Khun's room silently. The bodyguards in the corridors questioned them but no one stopped them once they realised it was them. They stood near Tankhun's bed. Arm and Pol had let them enter. Khun was sleeping peaceful.
"We will scream on the count of three. Ready? 1 2 3"
They both screamed near Khun's ear earning a smack from the enraged Tankhun."WHO DARES TO DISTURB ME?" Khun grabbed their hair through the sheets that covered them and ordered Arm to switch the lights on.
"Reveal yourself." He roared.
Chay was already wincing with pain.
"Phi! It's me Porchay."
"And I." Macau added.
"Who names their kid I?" Tankhun asked, clearly confused.
"It's Macau Khun Nu." Pol replied.
"This stupid kid! Get this off your face!" Khun threw away their white sheets."What are you two doing? You thought this will scare me? I am a horror movie myself! And you Chay? Why are you with this stinky boy?" He pulled Chay away from Macau.
"Hey! Thats rude." Macau protested.
"Oh? Not as rude as screaming in a sleeping man's ear."Khun and Macau started bickering. They were so loud Kim woke up from his sleep. He went out to see what caused so much commotion.
When he saw Chay, sitting besides Khun who was scolding Macau he was as fully awake. He looked only at Chay ignoring everything else."Kim, look at this stupid boy and how he has polluted our sweet Chay." Khun pointed at Macau which caused yet another fight.
Kim walked past Macau, straight towards Chay.
"Hi." He said loud enough for only Chay to hear.
"Hello." Chay mumbled. After a few more minutes of Macau and Khun fighting and Arm and Pol trying to calm them down Kim spoke again."We should leave them alone."
"Yeah." Chay replied.
Kim helped Chay get up from the bed and took him out. They walked in silence in the corridor for a while. As they reached Kim's bedroom door they stopped."So, you were with Macau?" Kim asked, leaning on the door frame.
"Yeah we both skipped classes so we were hanging out. It turned into a sleepover but I had a lot of fun. This was Macau's idea by the way." Chay explained.Silence filled the air again. They both did not speak, but they weren't ready to leave each other either. Kim kept staring into Porchay's eyes. It was making the other blush.
After a minute Kim diverted his eyes. Chay thought he wanted him to leave but Kim asked, "Hey, Chay. I don't want to rush you or anything, but what have you decided?"
Chay stayed silent. He already had the answer. He couldn't deny he liked Kim a lot. He couldn't throw away his feelings for Kim just like that. He knew Kim had good intentions and had seen the improvement himself in the past few days. He leaned in closer to Kim's ear."I hope you're free tomorrow P'Kim.Good night." He placed a gentle kiss on Kim's cheek before leaving. He turned back to smile at a visibly flustered Kim.
Had Porchay finally given him another chance?
