"Ryan, stop it with the addicted jokes!" Macy said, clearly annoyed.
"Well Katiniss seems to think its hilarious, so no. I like it when people laugh, and I'm sorry your a sour puss."
"I am not a sour puss. You just tell awful jokes!"
"Oh snap!" Aisha giggled.
"And the only reason that Katiniss is laughing at you is because-"
I stopped Kathy before she could finish her sentence. "She loves to laugh." I said, trying to cover up for Kathy's slip up. "Can I talk to you for a second Kathy?"
"Sure thing. Whadya need?" After we were out of earshot from the others, I said
"You just about revealed Katiniss's secret! I can't believe you were going to let it slip. D you know how devastated she would be if people found out, and especially if you were e cause! I mean, you weren't even supposed to know about it. Of course you pretended like you were all clueless but I caught onto you pretty quickly."
"Okay, I'm sorry it almost slipped. It was a mistake. And I wasn't trying to hear your conversation, I was just walking by, and I wanted to see what was going on."
"Fine, whatever. Just do not talk about her eating disorder in front of her. She will get really upset, that you know about that."
"Wait a sec, Katiniss has an eating disorder? Since when?"
"You mean, you didn't know?" OMG! I just told one of the biggest secrets that I know. Katiniss will really hate me now. "Please don't tell her I told you!" I begged. I then slapped myself in the face, congratulating myself for winning first prize for stupidity. "I will do anything I you promise not to mention anything about it. I really never wanted anyone else to find out." I rambled on.
"Don't worry. Your secret is safe with me. And I promise I won't say anything abo her other secret either."
I have Kathy a small hug and said, "Thank you soooo much! I really owe you one."
Something in her eyes changed, and they went from kind to secretive. She said to me, "Meet me after school on Friday, behind the school. I have a secret and I need to tell someone. I know that you won't tell."
I wa scared by the way she said, "you won't tell". I don't know if I was afraid that she would tell Katiniss's secret, or maybe out of curioustiy, I said something that would change my life forever, "I'll be there."
