"So Destiny, hey!" I was originally going to text Destiny, but I decided in person would be better.

"Uh, hey Catarina. How can I help you?"

"I just wanted to ask you a totally random out-of-the-blue question." I asked nervously.

"Um, sure, I guess. Shoot."

"Well, I was just wondering what you would say if Adam asked you to the grad dance." I blurted.

"Oh, uh, I don't know," She answered looking at me suspiciously. "But I would probably say... No."

"Alrighty then." I said awkwardly. Then we were both silent. Okay, so I guess I should've thought of a more subtle approach, but I still got what I was looking for. "Well, um, I got to go Destiny. See you around."

Before I could walk away, Destiny stopped me. "Hey, Catarina, since I realize you're probably just going to end up telling him what I said, please say it nicely. I don't want to hurt his feelings." Busted.

"Don't worry, I'll be super nice about it. I will sugarcoat it as much as humanly possible." I responded, laughing alittle in the process.

"Thanks Catarina." She gave me a small wave as I turned to walk away.

"Bye" I called to her.

Lets just say I was pretty lucky. As I was sitting in the doctors office for my appointment, I saw Destiny walk out. Probably from getting that annoying grade 8 girl shot. I had caught her attention, and we started talking.

I have all the information I need for Adam, but I just don't know how I'm supposed to tell him. Hopefully he won't be too heartbroken.

"Ah, Catarina, Doctor Garett will see you know." Said a small nurse, as she led me to a different room. I'd been hoping for the best, but prepared for the worst.

~2 hours later~

"So the doctor basically told me that I got amnesia, and will most likely never regain my memory," Yeah, I finally found out what was up with my brain. It kind of upset me to know that I lost a part of my memory. But life goes on I guess. "The doctor told me I am not supposed to strain my brain to try to remember things. So, hopefully I didn't learn anything important about you. Did I Aisha?"

"No, not really. Nothing that important anyway." She told me with a smile.

I was so pleased when she invited me over yesterday. I don't remember how, but we became friends. So today, Sunday, we were hanging out.

"We were good friends before though. All of us were. Our whole table for 6."

I could hear pain in Aisha's voice.

"Before what? Are we not getting along anymore or something? I can't understand where all of our friendships went." The last part I really only said to myself.

"Let's just say, things took a wrong turn when people found out that Ryan liked Macy. Everything went downhill. Really quickly." She answered looking at the floor. That was a vague answer...

"Okay then Aisha. Whatever you say. So, since I forget most stuff, what sports do you play?"

"Everything." She answered immediately snapping her eyes up to meet mine. Something was definitely up with her. What is she hiding? I thought friends told each other everything. Then again, what do I know about friends?

"Oh, uh, which is your favourite?" I asked curiously.

"Basketball."

"Oh cool. That's a good sport. Although, I was always kind of afraid of the ball. Once, I accidentally got hit in the face, and it hurt alot." Aisha stiffened up really quickly, and her face went pale.

"Aisha, are you ok? You look kind of sick."

"Catarina, I think you should probably go back home now. I'm not feeling to well, and I wouldn't want you to get it." Her voice gave it away. She was definitely faking sick.

"Okay, let me just call my mom, she could get here any second." I decided to go along with Aisha's little plan. Even if it was to pretty much kick me out.

"Thanks, I appreciate it. So I'll see you tomorrow?"

"Sure. Bye Aisha." I called as I stepped out of her house. I got my cell phone and called my mom.

If Aisha didn't want to tell me what happened, that's fine by me. I can find out. I always find out.
