Outside at break, I waited for Ryan. I was actually so excited that we could become friends again, even though I never did know that we were. I was also really relieved that someone knew about Jason, and my depression. Man, I must have really trusted Ryan.
As I saw Ryan walking towards me, I noticed he wasn't alone. He was bringing Adam. Oh joy, this is just what I needed right now, for Ryan to tell someone else about me.
"Um, hey guys. Ryan, I didn't realize you were bringing Adam." I told Ryan, hoping that they got the hint that I didn't want Adam there.
"Yeah, neither did I." Responded Ryan. Who sounded very annoyed.
All I remember about Adam, was that he was a cocky, annoying jerk. He thought the sun rose for him, and the world spun around, so the whole universe could be exposed to his 'beauty'. Yes, he was on a very high horse, thus my strong dislike for him.
"Actually Catarina, I have a question for you." Adam told me. "Do you know who you are going to the grad dance with?" Hmm, I contemplated thinking about everything. I mean, grad was only 1 month away now.
"Uh, no. I don't think so. Why?" I asked Adam.
"Just curious." He answered. "Ryan can you give us a minute?"
"Uh, Ryan? Aren't we supposed to talk-" I was cut off.
"Sure dude. I'll be right back guys." Ryan replied.
I watched as Ryan walked away, and then I turned my attention back to Adam. I crossed my arms over my chest and gave him a skeptical look.
"Yes?" I asked.
"Okay, I was wondering, if you would, could you, who do you think I should as to the dance?" Well, that was unexpected. I was actually thinking he we going to ask me for a second. Well, that's a relief. Now I needed to think about who he should ask. I instantly came up with an answer.
"Mackenzie!"
"Yea, no." Adam answered. I honestly don't know why he won't ask Mackenzie. I mean, she is a beautiful red head, with huge green eyes and an amazing skin tone. Plus, Mackenzie and Adam already fight like they are a married couple. They would be perfect, and he is saying no?
"Well, I don't know then. How about, Destiny?" Destiny, was also a beautiful girl, with honey coloured hair that comes down to her shoulders. She is very skinny, and has a model like figure. The more I thought about it, the more I thought about how good Adam and Destiny would look together.
"Do you think Destiny would actually go with me?"
"I could ask her if you want."
"Yeah, would you? That would be great."
"Yeah, sure. I will let you know by next week whether or not she would consider going with you."
"Okay." Adam started walking away from me, but then stopped dead in his tracks. He looked back to me. "Thank you." Those two words made me feel really good.
Sure people say hat to me all the time, but not like Adam just did. He made the Wordpress mean something, and made me feel amazing for agreeing to help him.
Adam then proceeded to finish walking away. Then, out of nowhere, Ryan appeared. He had a funny look on his face. "So, are you going with Adam now?" Ryan asked.
"Uh, no actually. He asked me who i thought he should go with. I think he is going to ask Destiny."
"Oh. Never mind then. Anyway, so starting over. Two seconds." Ryan ran away from me yet again. Then he came sprinting towards me, and extended his hand to me. "Hello there! My name is Ryan, and you are?"
"My name is Catarina." I said thrusting my hand into his. "It is nice to meet you."
"Same to you!" He said with a smile. And with that, my friendship with Ryan began.
