"Ryan, Ryan!" Finally I'd found him.
"I have been looking everywhere for you. I talked to Macy!" I shouted to him. He didn't even bother to turn around and look at me.
"Ryan, seriously. At least turn around so I can see your face when I talk to you." I commanded.
"Save it Catrina. You're not my mother, so lay off." He spat, sounding utterly angry still with his back still turned. "I don't have time for your useless information."
Okay, what's his problem? I thought he would be a little more eager to know what I had to say. I thought we were more like friends, not enemies!
"What on earth are you talking about you jerk?! I was the one who found out if your little crush actually liked you. I was the one who told you my story. I was the girl that you trusted with your story!" I bursted with outrage. And here's me thinking that this little idiot had a change in heart. Ryan said nothing, nor turned around, so I continued,
"Now I don't want to be treated like a pile of dirt. So, you either turn around now, or I am leaving. For good." I threatened. I am really sick of this attitude.
That did it. Ryan spun around, "Well, I'm not the one telling certain people who you like, am I? I don't go around saying that you have a huge crush, do I? No, I don't! So what gives you the right to? I knew I never should have trusted you." He yelled his shocking speech right in my face.
Ryan was kinda scaring me right now, especially because he towered over me with his height. I was so frazzled and tongue tied at that very moment.
"Okay fine, you're right, I'm sorry! But I'll have you know one more thing before I go. Macy did tell me who she likes," Ryan stared at me with wide eyes. Before I finished, "Adam."
I shot him one last cold glare. And with that, I turned my back to Ryan, and walked away. I didn't want to stick around and wait for a reaction.
What did I just do?
**********************************
I sat down at my desk and tried to focus on the front of the class. But that didn't work out too well considering all I could really focus on was Macy and Ryan.
I think the other girls noticed the unspoken tension because it was pretty silent. Ryan had been shooting death glares to Macy and I the whole time we had been here. I felt bad for lying to him, but did he really deserve to know the truth?
Then of course Macy looked like she had just swallowed a rainbow. She had no clue about what recently went down. So there was a happy smile on her face and she took a few shy glances at Ryan. I probably would've found that cute, and maybe a little funny given a different situation... But I was still stuck in the same one.
Why did I have to say Adam's stupid name! I should have just told Ryan the truth. For Macy's sake. Now jerk-face over there is going to hate her. And when she finds out what happened, Macy is going to hate me.
I didn't want that to happen. Our table was becoming good friends! Until one secret led to another...
Class seemed to drag on forever. But the bell finally rang for recess.
Everyone trailed out the doors, happy to be free of work for a while. But then I noticed something. As soon as I stepped outside, I saw a bunch of kids running to gather around in a circle.
A fight?
I rushed over to see what all the commotion was about.
Of course, I should've known. Standing in the middle of this circle, was none other than the clueless cool guy himself. Ryan.
Who was he planning to fight you ask? Well, it might have had to be the person I told him Macy liked. Yes, Ryan and Adam were in the middle of the circle of kids.
Ryan looked absolutely furious, while Adam looked alittle shocked and scared. Well his best friend was trying to beat him up. Adam tried talking to Ryan, but everything he said, Ryan just waved off. He was just trying to lunge for Adam.
"Dude, I don't even know what this is about! Can't we just talk about it first? What the heck did I do?." Adam said. Ryan lunged at him again.
"You stole my girlfriend!!!" Ryan yelled, sounding devastated. He looked so frustrated. And mad. And upset. And angry... all at once.
"Ryan, you don't even have a girl friend, dude! You've never had a girlfriend before. And neither have I, so how could I steal your freaking girlfriend?" Adam panted, sounding out of breath from trying to dodge Ryan.
"Macy, man. She can't like you, she needs to like me." Ryan said, he sounded so upset. Then he looked at Macy, "What do you even see in him?" Ryan asked Macy, having heartbreak in his voice.
"Ryan, what are you talking about? I told Catarina that I liked you." Macy asked in a sweet tone, looking kind of baffled. She had a hint of confusion in her eyes.
I suddenly realized that things were going to go downhill from here for me.
Ryan shot me another evil glare and draped his arm over Macy's shoulder. "No. No she didn't tell me." And that was when I ran.
I ran because I saw something in Ryan's eyes that I had never seen before. Not even when he was trying to fight Adam. I saw the look that scared me the most on Ryan.
Revenge.
