Careen Harley's Point of View
"Girl, Look"
"She look pathetic."
And they both laughed in unison. How dare them? Ang sarap pagbuhulin. Pake ba nila? I glared at them as they continue to laugh. They both looked at me. When they see me glaring at them nagkusa silang umalis.
Hah! That's what you've got. Buti nga sa'inyo. Inihiga 'ko ulit ang ulo 'ko. Yeah, I know I don't have the right to glare at them dahil what they've just say was absolutely true, but they don't have the right to judge me. Ay, ang OA.
I just wanted to closed my eyes and hope for everything to be back in place again, but when did everything got all right in the first place?
*KRINGGGGGG.
I got up from lying and search for my phone. Where the hell did I put my phone?
*KRINGGGGG. Another ring snapped.
"Putspa. Nasa'n na ba 'yon?" I searched from everywhere. Nasaan na ba ka--! There you are. It was lying on the floor. I pick it up and tried to read the caller's ID.
Pero ng naalala 'kong wala nga pala 'tong brightness. I just didn't mind. Hinawakan 'ko ito gamit ang dalawa 'kong kanay because if I didn't baka malaglag 'yung battery. Medyo may pagka-smuggled kasi ang lahi nito. Puro na rin scotch tape at may rubber band na nakapalibot sa screen.
I answer the phone lively. Maybe, this call came from IOSC the one who I applied for a job for almost 2 weeks ago.
"Hello, Good morning this is Careen Harley speaking. How may I help you" I said while smiling even though I know that the caller can't see me. But then napasimangot ako ng marinig ko ang sagot sa kabilang linya.
"Ay, ang saya ng bakla." Urgh. Not now...
"What do you want Angge?" I asked using an annoyed tone. I heard her sighed.
"Ay, ang aga-aga ang sungit mo. Anyare?" She said maybe to lighten up the mood -- my mood.
"Wala."
*BEEP BEEP
"Ay, palaka!" I screamed. "Akte ka naman kuya eh. Kailangan talaga malakas bumusina? Hindi mo ba p'wedeng i-silent mode 'yan. Bastusan kitang may kausap ako e." I yelled at the jeepney driver, but it seems like he didn't hear any of it.
"Miss tumabi-tabi ka naman. Aba! Nakakaperwis'yo ka." Aba't- he even yelled at me. Seriously?
I almost forgot about Angge. Kung hindi ko pa narinig ang boses n'ya hindi 'ko pa s'ya maaalala. "Teka bakla? Bakit parang ang ingay? Ano 'yun? Nasa'n ka?"
"Sa labas."
"Ha? Diba office hours mo ngayon? Bakit nasa labas ka?" She asked again.
"Wala na 'kong trabaho" I calmly told her. Like it was nothing for me.
"KELAN PA??!" She yelled at the line.
"Aray! Hindi mo kailangan sumigaw." I yelled back. "Kanina lang."
"Nasisante ka?" She asked this time kalmado na.
"Hindi."
"Akala ko naman nasisante ka 'e."
"Akala ko rin e. Buti na lang inunahan ko sila."
"Gaga. Nagwalk-out ka?"
"Hindi a. Kahit nung sinigawan ako ng HR, hindi ako nagwalk out."
