"Hey, can I talk to you for a sec?" Eddie asks me, pulling me aside whilst the others set up in Nancy's room, waiting for Dustin.

"Of course, but quick question...where did you learn SOS in morse code?" I ask.

"Oh, uh, my uncle. He taught it to me when I was younger in case I ever got into trouble," Eddie tells me, rubbing the back of his neck. "But onto my thing, close your eyes and hold out your arm."

"Eddie, what-"

"Please."

I sigh but close my eyes, holding my arm out to Eddie. I hear something metal make small jangling sounds before I feel a cold sensation on my arm.

"You can open your eyes now."

I open my eyes and look at Eddie before looking down. I see his metal chain bracelet dangling from my wrist and I can't help but smile at the gift.

"Eddie, thank you, but...why?"

"I want you to always have a piece of me with you. Like I have this leather jacket to remind me of my father. I want this to, uh, remind you of me."

"But I don't need something to remind me of you. You're right here with me. You're not going somewhere without telling me, are you?"

"I'm not going anywhere without you. It's just in case something happens."

No, I'm not having it. I can't willingly accept a gift if this is the reason he's giving it to me. I fiddle with the clasp of the bracelet, attempting to take it off. My breathing coming out shallow and raspy.  Eddie places his hand on mine, stopping me from removing the bracelet.

"What are you doing?"

"I don't want it. I don't want something to remind me of you in case something happens to you. I've got you and I'm not losing you."

Eddie pulls me into his chest, wrapping his arms tight around me.

"I'm sorry, okay? But, please, keep it on for me."

I look up into his eyes, seeing the pleading look in his face. I swallow the lump in my throat. How can I say no to this face?

"For you? Always."

He places a gentle kiss on my lips and holds me in his arms.

"Hey guys! Get in here. They're finally set up," I hear Steve call out from Nancy's room. We walk in, kneeling by the bedside just in time to see glowing particles form on Nancy's bed.

Nancy waves her hands through the particles, causing Dustin to laugh. He's ridiculously smart, my Henderson.

"All right. We're not moving it, but we're gonna unplug it. Stand by," Dustins voice says. "Yank it... Okay, try it now!"

"Okay. Um...uh..." Nancy says, deciding on what to write. She moves her finger down the glowing particles, then across and back down again, forming a 'H'. Then she adds another line, an 'I'.

"That worked," Dustin responds, from the real world.

"Yes! Yes!," Eddie says, holding my hand in his. "Hi!"

"Okay. Um...um," Nancy says. She starts writing out another word into the glowing particles. S, T, U, C, K. We hear Dustin repeat the word, in our dimension.

"Yes, yes."

"We are."

"Uh, you can't get back through watergate?"

"What the hell's Watergate?"

"'Cause it's in water and it's a gate."

"Oh."
