I wipe my sweaty palms on my dress and panic, instantly checking for stains. I sigh in relief when I see none.

I look at my face in the mirror. Slightly made up, my dark brunette hair half up, half down and a small chain necklace dangling from my neck. I slowly rub the necklace in between my fingers. It was a gift from Eddie. His mother's necklace. My something old.

"You look nervous. You aren't getting cold feet, are you?" Robin asks, coming over with my shoes. My something new.

"No. I just want everything to be perfect," I say, slipping my shoes on. I grab the earrings from the vanity and pop them in my ears. Earrings that Robin lent to me for the day. My something borrowed.

"You look beautiful, Melissa. Eddie is a very lucky man," Robin says, a tear threatening to ruin her make up. I pick up my bouquet, made up of carefully picked blue flowers. My something blue.

"He's definitely a lucky man and I'm a lucky woman. He makes me so happy, Robin," I say, standing up and turning to her. She pulls me into her arms and I return her hug, fighting the urge to cry.

"Are you ready?"

"I've never been more ready."

I gasp as I look at the man at the end of the aisle. He looks fucking good in a suit. His curly hair frames his face and a huge smile lights up as he turns to see me.

I can't seem to manage to look over at Eddie's groomsmen. Dustin, Wayne and Steve. I want to look at my bridesmaids as they slowly walk towards the front. Robin, Max and Erica. But all I can focus on is Eddie as I slowly walk towards him, even with countless eyes on me. This all feels like a dream.

"You look beautiful," Eddie says, as I stand next to him and hand my bouquet to Robin. He takes my hands in his and kisses the back of my left hand. When he looks back at me, I notice a tear sliding down his cheek.

"You don't look too bad yourself, Munson," I say with a smirk, trying to stop my tears from spilling.

"We are gathered here today to witness the joining of Edward Munson and Melissa Brooks in matrimony," the officiant begins, his voice loud enough for everyone to hear. "Marriage is the joyful uniting of two souls, whose care, affection and understanding have blossomed into deep and abiding love."

I look over to Eddie, finding him already looking at me. His smile never leaving his face.

"Marriage is the beginning of new life, a chance of fulfilling long-held dreams. Marriage continues to live as a promise of a beautiful dream come true. Only through love, patience, dedication, communication and supporting and believing in each other, can marriage succeed."

I think about how much we went through to get to this point in our lives. Best friends to enemies, enemies to lovers. Eddie's death and the battle of Hawkins. Then Eddie returning to me. I feel complete with him. He is the other half of me.

"Melissa, do you take this man for your lawful wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health for as long as you both shall live?"

"I do," I say, slipping a ring on Eddie's finger.

"Edward, do you take this woman for your lawful wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health for as long as you both shall live?"

"You're damn fucking right I do."

Eddie earns a few chuckles from our guests and I can't help the small laugh escaping me. He slips the ring on my finger before looking back into my eyes.

"Before this gathering here today, Edward and Melissa have professed their undying love and have exchanged rings to wear as a sign of their everlasting commitment to each other."

I hear a sniffle behind Eddie and see Wayne dabbing at his eyes with a handkerchief. This pushes me over the edge and my own tears start to spill.

"By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you man and wife. Edward, you may kiss the bride."

Eddie wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me closer to him. Our chests touching as he places his lips on mine. Slowly kissing me. Tenderly.

Our guests erupt in applause and cheers, but I can hear some louder than others. The voices of Robin, Steve and Dustin standing out amongst the others.

Eddie pulls away from our kiss but doesn't release me. Still holding me tight.

"Let's get out of here, Mrs Munson," Eddie says, prompting a huge smile to erupt on my face.

He grabs my hand and we make our way down the aisle towards the doors, towards our life as husband and wife. The cheering from our friends and Uncle Wayne, filling the air.

I look towards Eddie, the smile on his face still there. Never leaving. I've never seen him this happy before.

We leave the cheering of our friends behind as we head towards Eddie's van. We need to make our way to the reception, but I really don't want to. What I want is to go home with Eddie and spend the rest of the day in bed, or on the sofa. Maybe even against the wall.

I know Eddie feels the same when I see him biting his lip and fighting the urge to look over at me. I feel my breath catch in my throat and my face flushes as the images of what Eddie could do to me, flashes through my mind.

I watch as our guests filter out and head to their cars, waving and cheering as they pass us in the van.

"How do you feel, Eddie?" I ask, flattening the hairs that have come loose from my half updo.

"Happy. Extremely fucking happy. I don't know if you know this, but I just married my best friend," Eddie replies, turning to me with a smirk.

"Oh, did you now? I bet that was nice. What's she like?"

"Beautiful, funny and she loves me for the freak I am."

"She always will, Mr Munson."

"And I love you for the freak you are"

"Who said I was a freak?"

"You've got to be, to marry my ass."
