IN THE MORNING, HOPPER WAS BUSY COOKING BREAKFAST WHILE JACK SET UP THE TABLE. Eleven caught the teen’s eye as she quietly sneaked behind Hopper with a long white cloth covering her body, except the cutout holes for her eyes. Jack paid his full attention, waiting for his dad to turn around. As if Hopper read his mind, he turned around and jumped.

“Oh, Jesus!” Jack let out a laugh and the man sent him a glare.

“Ghost” Eleven said.

“Yeah, I see that” Hopper puts the food on the plates. “Halloween” Jack understands what she was trying to do.

“Sure is. But right now, it’s breakfast, okay? Come on, let’s eat” Hopper tries to avoid the conversation.

“They wouldn’t see us” Jack said. The boy was tired of being stuck in the cabin. He thinks he practically memorized the place, from its floor plan to the tiles on the floor. Him and Eleven wanted to go out and Halloween was the perfect time to do so.

“Who wouldn’t see you?”

“The bad men” both Eleven and Jack said. “What are you talking about?” Hopper sits down at the table.

“Trick or treat” Hopper stares at his son and Eleven. “You want to go trick or treating?” she nods. Jack missed trick or treating. He remembers all the candy that he got and would trade with Steve. The boy was practically drooling over Reeses. He thinks it’s a great opportunity for Eleven to experience the holiday and for him to revisit some memories.
