JACK'S CRIES ECHO THROUGHOUT THE EMPTY MALL.

The thing continues to wiggle and swim inside his leg. The group swarmed around him, didn't know what to do but stared at his wound.

"What is that?" Erica asked, disgusted.

"There's something in there" Mike said. Jack let out another wail as the pain became unbearable. Steve cradle him in his arms, trying to reassure him but failing miserably.

"Keep him talking. Keep him awake, okay?" Jonathan stands up and runs off to the food court.

"Jack. Hey, Jack" Steve taps his boyfriend's cheek and his teary eyes look up at him. "Remember when we were kids, we were like 9 at the time, and your dad got you that baseball machine for your birthday" Jack nods. "Then me and you decided to play around with it and you wanted to be the batter so I'll be the catcher. In the first try, you swing at the ball and it hits my dick" Steve gave a breathy laugh while Jack let out a half smile before grunting again.

"Y-you didn't want to p-play any-anymore" Jack stutters.

"Yeah. Well, I was on the ground for a good solid 30 minutes and you didn't have any ice, so we had to use frozen peas" Steve caresses the blonde's face. Fortunately, the group paid more attention to the wound than the pair. But Robin caught a split second before the brunette dropped his hand on Jack's shoulders. The cute interaction was cut short as Jack let out another scream and Steve tightened his arms around his lover. Robin noticed that his blue eyes started to droop and started rambling.

"You know, it's not actually that bad. There was a... The goalie on my soccer team, Beth Wildfire, this other girl slid into her leg, and the bone came out out of her knee, six inches or something, it was insane–"
