IT’S THE SUMMER OF 1985.
Everyone was finally out of school for their break and spent hanging out with friends or just hanging out at the newly built mall, Starcourt mall. It was bright and full of fun. Most of the time the mall was crowded by kids and families.
But nevertheless, it’s been a couple of months since Eleven closed the gate and things seem to be back to normal. Hopper had given his kids the freedom to explore more but was still very cautious. Jack and Eleven were surprised that Hopper pushed back the curfew by 30 minutes and allowed them to go into the outside world. Well, more for Jack than Eleven. Since the chief found out that no one was hunting his son, he granted Jack the freedom to go out and have fun. But Hopper lectured him to be careful and be wary around his surroundings. The son agreed and was ecstatic.
Eleven on the other hand, Hopper allowed her to go out only with the group and Jack, but kept away from very public places like the mall or the pool. But she was able to have people over like Mike and the gang. So, she was happy with the result.
But Hopper was not.
Ever since Hopper allowed her to bring Mike over, they have been sucking each other’s faces throughout the whole summer. Hopper forced the girl to have the door open by 3 inches and peek through the crack to see if they were doing anything inappropriate. Normally, Jack would babysit the two while Hopper worked and visited Joyce.
But today wasn’t the day.
Since Hopper allowed him to leave the cabin, Jack took the opportunity to visit his boyfriend, Steve, at his summer job. Steve’s father forced the brunette to get a job since he wasn’t going to college. The teen saw that Scoops Ahoy was hiring and got the job at the spot. He told Jack and when the blonde visited, he nearly died laughing. Jack thought that his boyfriend looked so adorable and hilarious with his deadpan face. The blonde teased his boyfriend the whole time.
