A young Catra flees down a dim hallway within the Fright Zone, small cries coming from her as she runs.
On all fours, she runs into a small, shadowy space, and hides behind a crate as she continues to cry, her tiny hands balled over her face to hide it.
...
...
"Catra!" Adora called out.
This caused the brunette to flinch, her tail puffing in fear, turning her head.
Adora, who was out in the hall, skidded to a halt, almost passing by where she had seen Catra retreat to.
"Catra, come out. I know you didn't mean to hit Lonnie," Adora tried to reassure her, walking through the hall, though unaware where Catra was exactly.
...
Catra poked her head above the crate, watching Adora walk right in front of the crates, but facing away from her.
"It's okay. I'll tell them. They won't be mad. But first you gotta come out and tell her you're sorry."
Catra's ears twitched slightly, Adora noticing. She was always like that-hiding in plain sight-when it came to running away.
...
But even so, she always made sure that someone would see. And that someone just so happened to be Adora.
She came behind the crates to ask Catra the reasoning for her outburst.
"We were all just having fun."
"You didn't have to to it. Why'd you do it?"
...
...
Catra's eyes shot open, gasping upon hearing that question.
The next thing Adora knew, she was flung out into the hall, with a fresh scratch mark on her face.
Tears formed in her eyes as her hand rose to the cuts, Catra crying as well, her claws drawn, fearful.
...
...
Cut back to present day.
Catra is sitting at the window of the ship, watching through her own reflection as a planet underwent fire and explosions from Prime's occupation.
...
She turned away and hopped down the beams, walking back down the hallway as her gaze seemed lost, focused in thought.
She couldn't grasp it. She was having second guesses. But that wasn't the focus.
She met a crossroads in the corridors, looking over her shoulder to see a clone following close behind.
...
...
Then, in looking back, she saw two hallways. One was light. The other was dark.
She saw the clone again, and then made a snappy decision to go back down the darkened corridor.
As she kept her eyes focused on the path behind her, she bumped into a clone, stepping back in shock.
...
...
It seemed so menacing, the way it looked down at Catra.
"Are you guys following me?" Catra accused, glaring.
"I am here to attend to your needs, little sister. It is Prime's command," the clone remarked, standing still.
