"I win!" Ace calls back to his two brothers as you arrive at the house with them on your back. You changed back to your normal form when both boys jump off your back and pout at you. You give them an apologetic smile while glancing at Law who has a small smile on his lips.
It seemed so out of character of him that it made you do a double take.
His smile turns into a smirk when he notices the surprise on your face.
"So...What's for dinner?" He asks and you pout a bit.
"Dammit...you teleporting bastard..." You huff with your arms crossed before giving him a small smile.
"Well that one buffet is having a sea food theme tonight..." You said and he hums a bit.
"Grilled fish..." He says as the boys start drooling a bit.
"Food..." They said together while you laugh at them.
"Men and their stomachs..." You sigh while shaking your head. Law glances at his car that was parked in your driveway.
"When did this get here?" He asks, ignoring your comment. You look at the car and smile.
"Shanks brought it here...Said he found it where he found you." You reply as he walks over to the car, he frowns a bit and looks down at his arm.
He couldn't drive.
You noticed his expression and rushed over to him and hugged him from behind.
"Let's walk! It's good for you!~" You said quickly, giving him a huge smile when he looks back at you. It takes him a moment but his frown fades, he doesn't smile, but at least he doesn't look upset now.
And so you walked.
Law was quiet the whole time, listening to Luffy who was walking backwards in front of him waving his arms around dramatically as he spoke. Ace was listening to and would cut into the conversation, adding to it or discrediting something Luffy had said.
Sabo was walking next to you, talking about random things he had learned in school, some of the things you remember learning and some of it were things you had forgotten over the years. He also talks about some of the things he had been writing, absently you wondered if he's grow up to be an author one day, that would be nice...
You look at Ace and frown, you have no idea what he'd grow up to be, half hoping he'd be ironic and be a firefighter, but you doubt that. And looking at Luffy you could see him being a stuntman in movies...yeah that seems like something this crazy boy would do, it helps that he can fall from great heights and get squished without really getting hurt.
But you think about the mafia influences in their lives already and sigh, it's more likely they'll get dragged into that...
"(Name)!" Luffy calls out to you suddenly, snapping your train of thoughts. You look over at him and his eyes are practically sparkling.
"Uh oh..." You mutter and you heard Law chuckle.
"Yes..?" You ask carefully, you glance at the other two and notice they were giving you the puppy eyes.
"Oh god..." You mutter, covering your eyes and Law lets out a louder chuckle.
"Can we get one..?" Luffy asks and you peek through your fingers and see him pointing towards your right. You remove your hand and look over and frown.
It was a pet shop.
"Oooh..." You mutter and frown a bit more, Law just smirks.
"Pleeeeaaaaaaase.~" Luffy begs, jumping onto you and wrapping his arms around your waist while looking up at you.
"Pleeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaase~" He begs again and you look at the other two, they looked hopeful. You sigh, and look at Law who was just smirking at you.
"I'll think about it..." You said and the three of the groan.
"Pleeeaaase we'll take care of it!" Luffy says.
"We can get food for it!" Sabo cuts in.
"And clean up after it!" Ace adds and you glare at him.
"You don't even clean up after yourself!" You said, pointing at him while Law just laughs. Ace glares at you while Sabo snickers.
"I don't know why your laughing, you can be just as bad sometimes!" You said, glaring at the blond who glares back.
"Nuh uh!" He says and you sigh.
"Although I'll admit out of the three your the cleanest..." You sigh and he grins. Ace and Luffy glare at him, he just smirks back and both raven haired boys hit him. But before they can start fighting you pull Ace and Luffy away from Sabo.
"If you start fighting it's a definite no." You said in a serious tone and all three instantly started acting like little angels.
"Huh..." You said as you continued towards the buffet place.
"Milk this for what it's worth..." You muttered and Law laughs when he hears you.
"This will be one of the few times you can control them.." He says lowly so the boys don't hear him.
"Bribe them....bribe them shamelessly..." You mutter back and he chuckles.
Your almost to the restaurant when Law slows you down a bit, letting the boys walk a bit further ahead.
"What..?" You ask him, confused. He hesitates for a moment opening his mouth.
"Thank you..." He says finally.
"For..?" You asked, still a bit confused.
"For losing the race on purpose...for trying to cheer me up...for offering to take care of me." He says in a tone of voice that seemed so unlike him, you gave him a slightly worried look.
"Are you okay?" You ask and he shakes his head.
"I'm fine." He says and you stare at him for a moment, coming to a complete stop. He stops and turns to face you, he says nothing else.
"Are you sure?" You ask and he nods, smirking slightly.
"Worried?" He asks and you nod, surprising him a little bit.
"Yes..." You admit and he frowns.
"Why?" He asks, his voice getting a bit cold.
You smile at him, reaching out and grabbing his left hand, he tenses a bit and almost pulls away but you keep a firm grip on it.
"Cause I care." You said softly, you could see a faint shade of pink brush across his cheeks and he almost gapes at you, you giggle at his expression.
"Ew." You hear all three boys say together, looking at them all three have disgusted faces and Luffy was sticking out his tongue. You start laughing and Law pulls his hand away from you.
"Oh shut up..." He mutters, walking away from you and towards the restaurant.
