-Earlier the First Day-
You sat on your couch with the most bored expression you've had on your face since the boys had come to live with you.
You wanted them to bond with Law, but now here you were, an hour since they've left, and you already didn't know what to do.
A sigh escapes your lips and you roll over onto your side, what to do...
You think about the past week, leading up to the boys going out, and sigh. They were against it almost completely. Luffy was all for it, happy with the idea at first, until he found out you weren't going...
It took some bribing to get that boy to go, mostly with food.
Sabo was against it for the same reason Luffy was, which lead to you hugging him and him flipping out about it and saying he'd go if you'd stop hugging him like he was a teddy bear...
You promised, with your fingers crossed behind your back.
Ace disagreed even while he was leaving, but your begging eventually won him over, sorta. He really didn't like Law...
Law was stubborn until last night, when you had to promise to send the boys somewhere for a weekend and stay with him at home the whole time.
Your both worried about how that will turn out, and sorta excited.
But last night Luffy had come up to you and asked you a weird question, and if you'd consider it, he'll go.
So of course you agree and he grins widely before explaining what it was.
You should really ask him what it is before saying sure.
"Do you remember my friend Usopp?" He asks and you nod.
"Of course, him and Chopper come over to play with you every week..." You said before he continues.
"they live in the forest with a bunch of other kids, in this old house where me, Sabo, and Ace were going to go." He says and you nod.
He had explained to you that they were in the process of running from the orphanage and moving to that house, you had visited there and you really didn't like it. It was a run down old home from before people fled the forest, so it wasn't very stable.
"What about them?" You ask and Luffy pauses for a moment.
"That place is dangerous, and it scares them...can they come live here too?" He asks and your eyes widen a bit.
"Luffy..." You start but he frowns at you.
"You said you'd think about it!" He reminds you and this makes you sigh.
"Okay, okay I'll think about it..." You sigh and he grins and hugs you before running out the room.
And even though you said this you couldn't really see how you could care for two other kids. But you would at least go meet the boys, after all Luffy could ask them whether or not you visited them.
And so now here you were, standing outside this old broken, but fairly large, home. You walked up the mostly broken stairs, a lot of them had crumbles away so it was a bit hard to climb up and knock on the front door.
At first, after you knocked, no one answered, and with a sigh you absently wonder if Luffy's friend actually lives here. But to your surprise the door opens, and to your even bigger surprise, it was Ace's friend Marco, who answered the door.
"Ms. (Name)?" The boy asks narrowing his gaze at you with a bit of a surprised look.
"Marco?" You echoed back and the both of you just stand there for a few minutes before he frowns up at you.
"What do you want?" He asks finally and you blink a few times before gasping slightly.
"Oh right...I didn't know you lived here to..I was looking for Luffy's friends, Usopp and Chopper." You said with a grin and the blonde takes a few moments before opening the door, letting you come in.
Your first impression when you saw the place, was no one should be living here.
You could see molds of all kinds growing along the walls, a lot of the floor boards were broken or in very rough shape, and some spots seemed rotted through completely.
"Do you really live here..?" You ask him and Marco shrugs.
"I don't have anywhere else to go yet." He answers with an indifferent tone and this makes you frown.
"I thought you lived with Whitebeard." You said and Marco glances at you as he walks deeper into the house, dodging some areas, you followed him, stepping only where he did, in fear of falling through the floor.
"You have to be sixteen to officially join, that's when most boys can handle themselves..." Marco answers, stepping into the kitchen. You entered behind him and frowned at the sorry state everything was in, the only thing that seemed usable and good were the appliances.
"This place isn't really safe for you though..." You said, mildly worried for Ace's little friend. But the blonde boy just shrugs in response.
"I'm use to it." He says, once again in an indifferent tone.
"Ms. (Name)?" Came a hyper and happy voice, you suddenly feels something latch around your waist and you look down to see a brown haired boy with a blue band aid on his nose. You smile and pat the top of his head.
You don't normally see this child outside of his half zoan form.
"Hey Chopper..." You greeted him, squatting down to his eye level, he just smiles at you widely.
"Luffy isn't here..." He starts and you laugh, shaking your head.
"I'm not here for Luffy..." You said and he tilts his head to the side confused.
"I'm sure Luffy told you he has been trying to get me to adopt you and Usopp.." You start and the boy's eyes widen, Marco looks a bit surprised too.
"Really..!? Will you do it?" The boy looks super happy and excited that it made you close your mouth.
You wanted to explain to him that it just wasn't possible, after all you already had three boys, three puppies, and a one armed mafia boss already living you. But you saw the happy look in the boy's eyes and you felt your heart break for even considering declining such an adorable child.
Law was going to kill you.
"Of course!" you grin widely as Chopper lets out a squeal of delight.
