It was the 4th day of school. Harin and Jisung had sort of gotten close.
The moment the school bell rang, the teacher teaching Chemistry quickly finished what information she was giving and walked out of the classroom after thanking the classroom. Harin rest her head on the table and wait for the next lesson to start which is in 15 minutes time.
"Tired already?" Jisung said as he came back to the classroom 5 minutes later. Harin got up from the table and smiled sheepishly at him. "Just not enough sleep. I've been watching many dramas these few days." She said. Jisung chuckled before giving a banana milk to her. She thanked Jisung and poked a hole on the milk with the straw, later on sipping it.
As she was sipping her drink, her eyes darted towards a teen who was sneaking up behind Jisung. The teen placed his index finger on his mouth, signalling her not to let Jisung find out. Seeing that Harin was staring at something behind him, Jisung decided to turn around. However, before he could turn around, an arm wrapped around his neck which made Jisung startled and tried to pulled the arm away from him.
"How dare you left me alone for 4 days! I thought we were best friends." The teen says as he rubs his fist onto Jisung's head and the other hand placed on his neck, making Jisung try to shake himself aggressively to get the teen away from him. While both of them were acting like toddlers, Harin stared at both of them, thinking if she should step up and say anything or not.
The teen, realising she was there, stopped what he was doing and made Jisung finally breathe in peace. "I'm guessing he forgot to introduce me. The name's Chenle. Zhong Chenle." Chenle said as he raise his hand in front of the girl. Harin took out her hand and shook with his. "I can't believe he ditched me just to chat with you, Haechan and Renjun." He added on before taking one of the chair near him and sat down.
"So I heard from Haechan and Renjun that you both finally met up after years of being separated away, right?" Harin nodded in agreeement. Chenle hummed in response, shaking his head lightly before taking his phone out.
Not even a 10 minutes of the trio going silent and awkwardly staring at each other once every few seconds before Haechan's scream was heard along the corridor, making the trio look at the door to see. "Jisung! Harin! There's a problem!" He shouted as he ran into the classroom with Renjun chasing after him and trying to shut his mouth. "I swear to god, stop embarrassing yourself outside!" Renjun shout back, while trying to catch his breath. Haechan let out a chuckle and scratch his nape, making Renjun stare daggers at the teen.
"I just heard some girl from a different class in our batch is mad because apparently her childhood crush is interacting with another girl more compared to her." Haechan speak, not even sparing the trio a few seconds to hear his statement. The trio let out a 'huh?' in unison, making Haechan reiterate his sentence. "The reason they're not understanding is because you're speaking too damn fast. I'll just explain to them. Apparently some random girl from our batch is upset because her 'childhood' crush is spending time with another girl, which is you Harin." Renjun said after slamming his hand lightly on Haechan's mouth which made him stumble behind.
Jisung and Harin looked at each other with their eyes a little widened. Chenle saw Jisung biting his lip and sighing, as if the girl Renjun and Haechan mentioned somehow seem to be related with the duo. On the other hand, he saw Harin's expression turn from neutral to shock. "Are you both okay? Is she related to you guys or something?" Chenle asked. Jisung and Harin instantly faced Chenle and let out the occasional 'uhh' and 'ermm.' The duo signalled with their eyes and Harin let out a sigh.
"I'm not sure if this girl you both are talking about is the same girl that used to bully me back then. Also, from the way you both describe how she was feeling, it clearly seems like its the same girl that used to have a crush on Jisung." Harin explained.
Haechan and Renjun's eyes widened, making Chenle confused since he wasn't with them when Harin was explaining about her past. The 4 of them, excluding Chenle, pondered about it. "Let's just see what's going to happen. Speaking of which, Harin. Do you know how to protect yourself?" Renjun asked.
"Uhh yeah. Why do you ask?"
"At least, you can protect yourself if the girl we're talking about starts to physically hurt you." Renjun stated. As soon as they finished their conversations, the teacher entered the class, followed by the ringing of the bell indicating the start of the next period.
