"Please kill me..." Harin says to herself as she leaned onto her chair. "You're acting like you have never done a project similar to this." Jisung said as he chuckled.

"I've done these types of projects. But the thing is, why out of all subjects, do we need to do a project for Biology? And it's sort of like a coursework, meaning we'll need to draw and colour some of them, ugh. This is more of an Art lesson instead of Biology." Harin answered before straightening her posture and continued researching. Seeing she might start to mutter the occasional sighing and 'ugh,' Jisung took the laptop away from her which made her stare at him in confusion.

"Rather than staying here and looking at your laptop for 2 hours straight, how about we go and search for some books here that might be useful?" He asked. "Right, why didn't I think of that?" Harin muttered to herself. They both got up from their seats silently and walked around the library, looking around the pile of books placed on the shelves.

——
"Shit, I just realised the library closes at 6pm today." Harin said to herself after seeing several people packing their stuff. "Uhh... Jisung, do you want to continue the project at home?" She asked.

"...Sure, but I'll need to grab some things from my home before going to your house. Is your family okay with me going to your house, especially when it's late?"

"They'll be fine. It's not like we're going to make love or something." Harin answered, having her hand at her mouth the moment she realised what she had said. She then looked at Jisung, who was staring at her with his mouth open and blinking his eyes rapidly. "Forget I said anything. You can come over, my mother doesn't mind. I'll let her know that you're coming." Harin said as she packs her stuff.

The two of them arrived at Harin's home. Jisung waited for her to enter her house before going back to his house to grab his items. As she enters the house and placed her shoes in the shoe racks, she then walked towards the table where the food was already placed there. "Mom, my friend will be coming here in about an hour. We'll be doing our school project until about 10 to 11pm-ish." Harin says as she takes the utensils from the kitchen.

"Sure thing. Just no naughty stuff." Her mother said as she had her arm on her hips and another holding a wooden spoon while looking at Harin. "We're just going to complete our project, mom." Harin said as she stared at her mother. Her mother laughed as she placed her washed wooden spoon in the container filled with cooking utensils. As Harin was eating her food, her mother wiped her hands on the cloth hanging on the cupboard handle and walked out of the kitchen.

Not even a few seconds after her mother reached the stairs to their room, a window shattered, making Harin flinch in surprise. She immediately looked towards where the sound of the window shattered and saw a laser pointing towards somewhere in her house. She then realised that the laser was pointed towards her mother after seeing her mother's back had a fresh shot wound.

Harin immediately got up from her chair and wanted to approach her mother when she felt a bullet pass through her left arm. Within a split second, her surrounding became distorted and everything around her seems like it was dropping on her. A loud thud followed by the chair falling to the ground was heard as Harin collapsed to the ground. The next few seconds later was Harin using her strength to get up from the floor but to no avail.

It has been almost 2 to 3 years that Harin does not get injured for about 4 days a week. It was most likely the reason why she felt that she could not get up from the ground the moment she collapsed to the ground after being shot. "We've got them. Let's enter through the window since it is already shattered into pieces." A familiar voice spoke from outside their house, followed by footsteps. From her blurry vision, Harin could see about 3 people in black entering their house, and another one but in a suit.

The pain was unbearable to the point that she was using most of her strength to keep her eyes open. With the absence of her clear vision, she was not even able to see who were the attackers, but not when a familiar voice started laughing. Eyeing the man in the suit, she looked straight into his eyes with rage.

"Ha ha ha~ I've told you both back then. You will suffer the consequence the moment you both escape. And look at you both, lying on the ground. This wouldn't have happened if you both complied with my orders." The voice belonging to Harin's father said as he shook his head. "So how was it dear? Enjoyed the pain?" He said as he approached and kneel down to Harin's eye level. She did not even let out a word, due to the loss of strength she had.

"Hmm... it seems you're still stubborn as usual, not answering when you're asked a question. Maybe this should help you answer." Harin's father said as he got up from the ground and approached Harin's mother. Harin looked at her mother being dragged from the staircase to the living room, where she could clearly see her mother wincing in pain. Not a few seconds of her mother was let go after being dragged when Harin's father pulled the trigger towards her mother. She watched her mother who was wincing in pain have her eyes widen at the sudden shot in her abdomen.

"Mom!" That was the only word Harin could shout the moment she saw her mother shot to death right in front of her eyes. Her father laughed upon seeing his daughter screaming in shock, at the same time having his gun closer to the lifeless woman and shot her abdomen thrice before stopping. Meanwhile, Harin was trying her best to get up from the ground, or at least drag herself closer to her mother to stop the wound from bleeding, only to be kicked away by her father.

"You shouldn't bother saving her. She's a hopeless cause to our family." He said as he snaps his finger, making one of the three men behind him to pull out his knife and approached the woman. "No, no. Stop! Don't hurt-" Before Harin could continue her sentence, a bullet pierced through her leg which made her scream in pain. She watched the man slowly place the knife near her mother's neck, at the same time grinning menacingly at Harin as if the sight of her crying for her mother to not be harmed amused him.

After a few seconds of tormenting Harin by pretending to slit her mother's neck, he finally sighs before making the knife come into contact with her mother's neck and slit her neck, making the blood gush out like a river. Harin's sight became more blurry the longer she continued to stay alive, unsure of what will happen to her the moment she shut her eyes closed.

"Now that the pathetic woman is gone, what should I do about you?" Harin's father said as he spun his pistol and his other hand lifting the girl's chin to make her face him. "You know, you'd probably stay alive if you work for me. But since you have not only murdered my bodyguards but most of my loyal people and escaped, I will have to kill you. I cannot trust someone, especially one who has escaped from me, to continue living. There is no doubt you'd most likely report this to someone." Her father added as he pressed the pistol to the girl's head.

"Now die."
