Almost a year or so had passed, at least that was what Harin assumed. By now, she was 'employed' as one of her Haneul's, gang associates. As much as she wanted to get herself killed by her enemies, she couldn't bear the thought of leaving her mother trapped inside her father's building for the rest of her life. For the sake of pleasing her father, she did her best to meet her father's expectations. At times, one of the guards which she made bonds with, would assist her with some of her tasks. Once she entered her room after her work, she pulled out her book under her bed. She circled out one of the pages nonstop. From there, she took a nap and waited for time to pass by.
——
The clock displayed 2:34am. Harin got up from her bed and grabbed the weapon she had kept. Pulling out the bobby pin from her hair, she started picking the lock of the door.'Come on, unlock this shit.' She thought to herself after a few minutes of her struggling with opening the door. Another few minutes later, she finally felt the bobby pin turning the mechanics inside the door knob. It was unlocked. She took her pistol equipped with a silencer, along with a knife she had kept in her drawer.
Silently walking towards where her mother is trapped, Harin tighten her grip on the knife as she heard soft mutters from afar. Just as she got close to the corner of the wall, she caught sight of the 2 people making those mutters. Harin quickly hid towards the counter near her and waited for them to stop chatting and approached her area.
As she sensed footsteps approaching towards her, she lean onto the counter the closer the footsteps approached. Harin then had her knife towards the person's neck without any hesitation, making him collapsed to the ground. "Jayeon? Are you okay?" Another man spoke out, as he approached the lifeless person. "Holy shi- " Before he could mutter a word or take out his weapon, Harin had shot the person on his forehead, making him collapse to the ground beside the corpse.
Seeing a number of keys appearing out from the pocket of the corpse, Harin took it slowly and immediately went towards the door where her mother is located. As soon as she reached the door, she used every single key to try and unlock the door.
The door then unlocks, making her sigh in relief before noticing a fingerprint device. She groaned in annoyance as she looks at the corpse. Noticing they're usually the ones guarding the door every time she walked past them, she dragged them to the door and lifted their hands for their thumb to touch the fingerprint scanning device. The device granted its access, allowing the door to be fully unlocked which give Harin no hesitation to open the door.
"Mom." She called out as she sees the sobbing lady. Her mother looked up and almost let out a gasp. Harin placed her index finger on her own mouth, signalling her mother to stay quiet and not know about her sudden appearance. "Mom, I've found an exit to this building. I need you to stay by my side and at the same time, hide to not get killed." Harin said as she lifted her mother up.
——
For what felt like an hour, Harin immediately grabbed her mother upon reaching the exit door and escaped the building. From afar, she heard several guards screaming at each other to chase after the duo. Harin then break the vehicle window and started the engine, later on driving off from the area with her mother. After what felt like hours or so, they noticed the sun rising up and the dark area around them slowly brightened by the presence of sunlight. "Harin, you should stay inside the car. I'll get some new clothes with these money lying around. I don't want anyone to call the police because you're covered in blood." Her mother said as she took out several pieces of cash inside the money bag and got out of the car.
She then appeared back inside the car with a set of new clothes for Harin to change. After changing into a clean set of clothes, they both drive to a secluded area to destroy the vehicle in case it contains a tracking device.
Finally, after the whole incident, they both took a cab and went back home, acting like nothing had happened.
