"Bye mom!" Harin says as she unlocks the door gate, followed by her mother shouting 'take care!' from the kitchen.

As she exits her house, she saw Jisung, Chenle and Meiru waiting for her. "Took you long enough to get out." Chenle says. "You know I'm still recovering right?" Harin asked in a teasing tone.

"The only thing that you're recovering from is your brain. At this rate, you'll suffer worst during exams, even worse, national exams. Anyways, come on. We need to catch the bus." Meiru says as she walks beside Chenle.

Jisung chuckled seeing Harin pouting upon hearing Meiru's sarcastic remark. "We haven't even passed half of the year and you're talking about national exams..." Harin muttered to herself before looking at Jisung. "Let's go." Jisung said as he let his hand out, signalling for her to give her schoolbag to him. Looking back at him to confirm he really means it, Harin took off her bag and gave it to him.

As they both were catching up with Meiru and Chenle, Harin tapped Jisung's arm. "Did I missed something a few weeks ago? Why are they holding hands like a couple?" She asked.

"They are, in fact, a couple." He answered, making Harin let out a 'huh?' in response. It took about at least a few minutes for her to process, and re-process his answer before opening her mouth. "Hold on, when did they become a couple?" Harin asked. "2 weeks ago? I can't remember, but I remember Chenle being so happy that week and finally told me, Haechan, Renjun, Jaemin and Jeno the reason why he was happy."

"How did I not even realise she and Chenle had a thing for each other? When I have been with her almost everyday." She asked herself, staring at the duo in front of them who are now pushing each other's shoulders, acting like siblings.

"Speaking of that. The guy I saw in the hospital a few days ago with you and the others. Who is he?"

"The guy who's wearing an oversized sweater with a beanie and specs? That's Mark, Mark Lee. He's sort of like an older brother to me and the other five. I met him in middle school, after you moved." Jisung said.

As the four of them were in the corridor, Meiru and Chenle went to their respective class after waving at Jisung and Harin while the other two went to their class together since they were taking the same subject - Biology.

As the teacher was explaining the types of organs and the function of the organs that were from the chicken she had recently cut, Harin was scrolling through her textbook and taking down notes based on her teacher's explanation on the sticky notes. Meanwhile, Jisung was following what the teacher had instructed him and the others to do.

In the midst of him cutting open the dead chicken, Harin eyed a wound from his fist. "What happened to your hand? Did you get in a fight?" She scoots over towards him and asked. The teen looked at her in confusion, then looked at his hands after she used her pen and pointed at his hand.

"It's nothing. I hit my room wall cause I was stressed with homework." Jisung answered as he stroke his wound. Thinking nothing of it, Harin continued focusing on the lesson while Jisung listened to the teacher's instructions attentively.

——
The last lesson had ended for the day. Harin got out of the classroom a few minutes after the teacher left. She then met up with Meiru and Jisung, who were chatting with his 3 friends. "Do you want to go grab a bite with us?" Jisung asked. Harin nodded in response and followed the group, whilst chatting among themselves.

About a few minutes later, the group finally caught sight of the cafe they intended to go to. Entering the cafe, they walked towards the empty table and sat down while Renjun and Chenle walked towards the cashier to purchase the drinks. As they were chatting amongst themselves, a familiar man approached Haechan and fist bumped. "Who are you?" Meiru asked.

"I'm Mark Lee. These kids' friends. Don't tell me you forgot about the time I was with them and you when you're checking on your friend... Harin. Yeah, Harin." Mark said as he nodded his head, confirming Harin's name. About a few seconds after Mark introduced himself, Chenle and Renjun returned with a tray of drinks. The 9 teens continued chatting amongst themselves, in between their conversations involving their school-related work and what post-secondary schools they intended to go to once they graduated.

Harin was silent throughout the duration after she had finished her drink. She stared blankly at the cat who was walking back and forth outside the cafe, before deciding to eat the food the cafe owner gave. Meanwhile, Chenle and Renjun were bickering over which major is popular amongst the students who are planning to choose their majors, which is attracting nearby customers who were staring at the two, some laughing silently at their bickering.

"At this rate, you both are going to embarrass us all. Some are looking at you." Mark said as he harshly nudged Chenle's arm, making the teen glare at Mark for injuring his arm. They both finally quiet down, with the help of Haechan taking both their drinks away from them in hopes they would shut up but this only resulted in Renjun grabbing his phone and aiming at Haechan.

"Hello? Earth to Harin~ Don't tell me you're having a food coma over a drink." Meiru says as she waves her hand in front of Harin. The said girl did not even break her gaze despite Meiru waving in front of her, still looking at the cat who is still eating its food with the occasional looking in the cafe and playing with its ears. Catching on to what she was staring at, Meiru looked behind her and saw a cat being in its own wonderland. She finally stopped disturbing her friend and let her continue staring intensely at the cat.
