A week had passed. The 7 teens who met Harin in the hospital previously were away for school and college except for Harin. After taking a shower, she got out of her room after wearing casual clothes. Looking towards the staircase leading up and down, she got curious. She decided to walked down the stairs and was half-surprised to see the interior of the room to be almost similar to the previous floor she was at, the only difference being the room she is at is slightly larger.
She walked around the room despite being similar to the '2nd level.' Suddenly, the sound of the door was opened and several chatters were heard. Harin continued walking around the room before realising that the 7 teens were not at home, meaning the people who were chatting were most likely Taeyong, Doyoung and several other men that she had not met yet. Harin turned around to take the stairs but stopped the moment Doyoung was visible in her sight.
"I take it you're feeling better, since your curiosity led you to walking down the stairs to here." Doyoung said. Harin gave an awkward smile before walking up the stairs almost quickly. "I'm worried she might tripped while running up the stairs." A person spoke up. "She'll be fine, Taeil." Doyoung said.
—— "Uhh... Harin? Taeyong wants to see you." Jeno said as he knocked from the other side of Harin's bedroom. Harin got out of her room and followed behind Jeno who was leading her to where Taeyong is at. Going to the elevator, Harin realised that the building, or 'home' she is staying had 3 floors, and 2 basement floors. The duo finally got out of the elevator once they were at the ground level, with Harin following behind Jeno.
Jeno stopped in front of a door with a letter which seems to be the gang's name. He looked at Harin, signalling her to enter. "I'll wait for you once you're done settling the issues in there." He said as he opens the door for Harin to enter.
Harin was surprised by the luxurious design of the room, to the point she had forgotten the reason she entered the room before seeing Taeyong sitting in front of his 3 desktops. Harin took a seat as he raised his arm out to one of the chair, while Taeyong continued tapping onto the keyboard quickly.
For a few seconds, Harin kept fidgeting with her fingers as she waited for Taeyong to finish doing whatever he was doing before finally leaning back on his chair, showing that his work has been completed. "I'm sorry for making you wait, Harin. Let's get to the point, do you know why I've called you down here?" Taeyong said.
"To find out about my decision regarding what you had told me a few days ago? Is that the reason why I'm here?" Taeyong nodded to Harin's statement.
"I supposed I'll take the offer, sir. Like what you had said previously, or maybe not. I happened to be dragged into this mess and since a certain person happened to witness a few of your gang affiliates helping me, I am now also labelled a target to other opposing gangs. Added the fact that my valuables and education supplies are destroyed in the flames, I have no other choice but to stay here. And staying here means I'll have to also take part in your future work." Harin stated. Taeyong gave the girl a contract and let her read the content as he looked at his computer for a few minutes, continuing on his work while waiting for Harin to complete the form.
"Welcome to the team, Harin." Taeyong said as he shook hands with the girl after she had signed the contract. Harin gave a forced smile to him before getting up from her seat. "Doyoung will give you the necessary information later on. For now, you'll be under Doyoung, Jisung, Jeno, Jaehyun and Yuta's care." Taeyong added on. Harin slightly bowed to him before leaving the room.
"I take it that you've understood what Taeyong said to you just now?" Jeno asked as he walked in front. Harin let out a soft hum in response to his question. Not even 5 footsteps later, Jeno abruptly stopped which made Harin bumped onto his back.
"I just remembered, your school supplies were destroyed in your house. Do you want to go to the mall with me and the other 6 people that you've met at the hospital?" He said. "Sure, at least I could go back and continue suffering in school rather than staying in here being bored almost half of the day." Harin answered.
—— Getting out of her room after changing to casual clothes, Harin saw Mark playing with his phone while waiting for the others to come out of their rooms. "Uhh... Hi, Mark." Harin said as she took a seat on one of the sofa chair. Mark said 'Hi' to her before keeping his phone in his pocket.
"So... you're Jisung's childhood friend. Am I right?" Mark asked, trying to get rid of the awkward silence. Harin nodded in response.
"I'm going to be honest. Jisung previously said that he and the others met you just a few months after I've left his previous school. That's a bluff, am I right? And the truth is that they already met you earlier than that." Harin asked. Mark hummed in response. "And the so-called 'Sports Event' that took place during Jisung's middle school year is not actually a sport event, but one of your gang's activity right?" Mark nodded in response to her question, surprised that she managed to remember all the past events.
For what felt like an hour, Harin watched mukbang videos on her phone as she waits for the remaining 6 teens to be ready before going out. At some point, she was contemplating on whether she'd want to continue going with the teens or just stay at home and go some other time.
Finally, Harin watched as the 6 teens slowly come out of the room and walked out of the hallway. "Took you long enough to get ready. Me and Harin are probably going to end up not going while waiting for all of you to get out of your bedroom." Mark said as he got up of his seat. The 6 teens awkwardly laughed before following behind Mark who had opened the door.
