A week had passed. Harin grabbed her bag that is hanging from her chair and walked out of her room to see Jisung and Haechan waiting for her. "Finally you're out. The others had just left." Haechan said as he grabs his schoolbag and walked out of the house after wearing his shoes.
—— As soon as the classroom was slowly filling up with the students' chatters, several of them approached Harin to chat after being gone for almost a month. In fact, almost everyone knew the reason that Harin was away, which made her look confused - the reason why she was absent was not what she expected to hear. All of them were talking about how fortunate she managed to survive a car accident when she was in fact not in a car accident. As she was about to reassure her classmates that she is alright, the teacher entered the class. "Ah, you're back, Harin. You're friends Meiru, Jisung and Chenle have been taking down the subjects notes during your absence. You can approach them to get the notes during lunchtime." The teacher said before continuing with her lessons.
——... "Yuta, you're staying here with Mark and Jae. We'll let you guys know when to come in." Ten said as he close the door of the vehicle, leaving the 3 men inside.
"Heard you're looking for your younger sister back. Why the sudden change of thought?" Yuta asked Jae who was fixated on his phone. Jae remained silent, ignoring Yuta. Thinking he wanted his own 'me-time,' Yuta did not ask any further to avoid him getting upset.
"Remember that new girl who joined us? Harin?" Jae asked. Yuta and Mark nodded.
"Well, she resembles my younger sister very much. The way she behaves - She tends to look around her surrounding when she's unsure about a certain thing, or continuously went in and out of a room." Jae explained.
"Honestly, I'm quite crazy to be thinking she is still alive and walking around today. Last I remembered, she died. Like literally got her neck slit by our father a few years ago. There's no way in hell would my younger sister suddenly survive from a deep cut wound." Jae added before continuing on with whatever he was doing.
"...Well who knows, maybe a miracle may happen." As Yuta was about to say any further, he was interrupted by Taeil's voice from his earpiece.
"We're done and in our position. You 3 can go and start our plan." Taeil said through the line. Mark quickly took out his laptop and started clicking on the keyboard while Yuta took out his weapons and got out of the vehicle.
"Lights out. The area is completely blackout. Ten, Johnny." Mark said. Looking at the surveillance camera screening on his laptop, he watched the people on camera getting killed. The trio started walking towards the building that is completely dark.
—— "The alarm isn't ringing! Ryu, call for backup!" A frantic voice could be heard as the trio got up to the 5th floor. The door was slammed open as soon as Yuta reached the 5th floor. Startled by the slamming of the door, the people inside did not have enough time to react and were shot by Yuta.
The two men emerged from the staircase area as the room went silent. "We need to finish this up as soon as possible. From what we have just heard, their backup will probably arrive later." Mark said as he lightly kicks the corpses to loot their items. As he was looting the corpse, he noticed several keys inside their pocket and took them, thinking it might help the trio later on.
Walking around the room, Mark noticed a dusty bookshelf that he finds extremely suspicious. Approaching the bookshelf, he noticed one of the books that looked like it was recently taken out as he noticed that there was no dust mark on the surface of where the book is at. As he tried to take it out, he felt the book being heavy despite the thickness of the book, making him even more curious about the bookshelf. As soon as he managed to pull the book out, he felt the bookshelf rumbling and backed away from it as he watched the bookshelf remotely shift to the right. The rumbling sound attracted both Yuta and Jaehyun's attention as they both approached Mark, looking at the bookshelf at the same time.
There, they found a secret room. "Let's go and check it. There must be something important in there." Jaehyun said as he tighten his grip on his pistol and walked into the secret room first, with Mark and Yuta following behind him. As they caught sight of a room filled with files, Mark was heard grunting which made Jaehyun look behind almost instantly.
"If you want your friend to stay alive, you better not step foot into that room. Ever!" The attacker said as he tightens his elbow around Mark's neck, with a pistol on his head. The attacker was silenced within a few seconds, with Mark jabbing his knife into the attacker's thigh which made him lose grip on Mark. As the attacker was searching for the pistol that he dropped, Mark jabbed the person's chest with the knife he was holding onto and kicked him away from him. Yuta pulled Mark's hand up as he fixes his attire before continuing with entering the said room.
Entering the room, almost every file was lying on the ground with several documents being ripped apart, burn, soaked, or crumpled up. The trio were confused as to how the room they previously saw was the complete opposite just after they dealt with the person who stopped them. From the corner of their eyes, a dark figure was hovering in the shadows which make their pistol point immediately towards the figure. The figure stopped in its track as the three pistols were at it.
"Should've listened to that guy, idiot." The person said as he walked out of the shadows. There, they found out the identity of the figure, which was none other than the target's assistant, Dongjun.
Dongjun laughed sinisterly as he took out his revolver and pointed to Jaehyun, and a lighter in his other hand. "Choose your options - You kill me, I'll burn this room down and destroy every document so you'll go back empty-handed. Or, you all back away and leave this premises. What are your choices?" Dongjun said as he lit his lighter on and off.
