Waking up from her slumber, Harin endlessly rubbed her eyes. As she went to the bathroom, she let out a sigh, seeing that the endless rubbing of her eye led to her eyes becoming swollen upon seeing herself in the mirror.
—— After freshening herself up, Harin got out of her bedroom and walked towards the kitchen after a few seconds of her trying to remember the direction Jisung had said the previous day. Upon reaching the kitchen room, she grabbed a glass of water and immediately walked back to her room.
In the midst of her dozing in her bedroom, Harin realised that she would likely be staying in the place she was brought into for the rest of the time now that her house has been destroyed in the flames. 'That means... I'm going to be staying in a house with 7 other guys- no, more than that.' Harin thought to herself.
"Harin?" A voice called her out from the other side of the room. Grabbing the door knob, Harin opened the door to see Jisung in front of her room. "Are you feeling better, Harin?" He asked, looking at her up and down and touching her forehead. The girl nodded in response, hiding the fact that she had just recently finished letting her tears out on her pillow after the constant remembering of her mother leaving her. Jisung let out a soft sigh before slowly pulling the girl to a hug, catching the girl's attention by surprise.
"I know that you're lying just to make sure I don't get worried about you. But... whatever it is, I'm always here to listen. After all, I should be responsible for dragging you into this mess." He said as he caressed the back of Harin's head, resting his chin on her shoulder. They both did not move a hinge for a few seconds before Jisung finally decides to let go of her embrace.
"I uh... see you in the living room later, Harin." Jisung said as he rubs his nape, giving an awkward smile to Harin before walking to the living room. Harin closed the door and approached the desk chair as she sat on it. Pushing her chair to the window, she placed both of her hands on the bookshelf and rest her head on them as she looked out the windows.
Everything seems surreal to her, though she had already encountered these events. The only difference was the people, and the vibe Harin could feel upon being in these places and being around certain people.
From what went on minutes turn to an hour as Harin stayed motionless, resting her head on the bookshelf that is of her desk's height and looked out the window, observing a flock of birds flying in unison. At some point, a young bird, likely a sparrow, landed in front of the window tilting its head as it stared at Harin for a few seconds before it flew off.
—— "Do you know what food does Harin like?" Jaemin asked Haechan and Chenle, knowing that they both were constantly together with Harin in school. "I only know that she likes eating mac and cheese, but other than that, I'm not sure." Haechan answered, with Chenle nodding in response to his answer. Jaemin nodded in response to his answer.
"Harin likes eating cheesy spicy noodles and rice cakes the most. But nowadays, she'd most likely prefer eating spicy noodles mixed with rice." Jisung answered. "I suggest we give her spicy noodles and rice. They won't be too spicy as compared to eating together with spicy rice cakes." Mark said. Jaemin hummed as he went to the kitchen. A few minutes later, he came back to the living room with a plate and a bowl together with the utensils and covered them with a large plate.
"I'll call Harin to eat for breakfast- "
"Don't." Jaemin said, making Chenle stopped walking and stared back at him. "She'll most likely not get out to have breakfast with us. I mean, she's probably shocked to find out about our secret. The least she'd do is just grab her food and eat in her bedroom." Jaemin explained.
Just as soon as Chenle walked back to the dining table, a sound of a door closing was heard. The 7 boys looked towards the direction of the sound in unison and saw Harin walking. "Harin, do you want to have breakfast with us?" Chenle asked after a few seconds of silence. Without saying a word, Harin approached them and sat down beside Jisung and Jeno.
—— After finishing her food, Harin grabbed her plate to wash them before she was stopped by Jaemin. "You can leave it in the sink. I'll help clean the dishes." He said.
"It's alright, Jaemin." She said as she continued on walking towards the kitchen. After washing her dishes, she went back to her room and dozed off.
