1 year had passed, everything changed after that.

We all moved so fast.

I finally graduated high school and now studying college in University of Utah

The squad still keeps in touch with each other

Nini is a professional singer now in LA, she's killing it in the game and i could never be more prouder.

And i never heard about him ever since.

The last time i saw him was when we graduated and he never took a single glance of me.

Gina, Kourt and Seb eventually went with him on a summer camp and i didn't

i'm pretty sure he wouldn't like me to be there.

It's been a year..

the pain still lingers like it was just yesterday

memories is still as fresh as it was a year ago.

Ricky closes his notebook, stopping the tears from falling on the notebook where he wrote all the letters.

He looks at the mirror one more time taking everything in and breathed deeply.

It's time, he looks at his watch. He's almost late on his first period so he grabbed his keys and closed the door of his dorm and drove to the Uni quickly.

last period finally ended and all he could do was sigh because of exhaustion, also the thoughts that's been circling his head the entire day.

at that point he knew what could calm him down, a awful day matches with a cold brewed coffee on his favorite coffee shop. that's his comfort drink.

As he walks in on the cafe he went on the cashier and ordered the usual drink he gets, the barista hands him the coffee and he sits on his favorite spot on the cafe, might be his 2nd safe space.

music blasted out of his headphones, he drinks his coffee as he watches the people around him. that's what he usually do. be a people watcher and just think about everything until he feels like going home.

he noticed the door opened and something catches his eye.

it's a familiar presence he didn't saw for a very long time

as EJ walks in, ricky cant help but smile a bit on seeing him. but  someone stood next to him. A girl about their age and kissed him on the cheek.

Ricky's smile dropped quickly.

EJ saw him and looked at him emotionless for a minute before deciding to give him a small smile

Ricky gave back the smile, but its a fake one.

It hurts ricky so much to see him again but seeing him with another girl hurts more.

EJ must've really forgotten about me, he thought

the couple ordered, grabbed their drinks and sit somewhere Ricky could still see

he pretends to be writing something on the notebook

as he pretends to write he took quick glances of them

they look so sweet and happy together

i wish it was me, he thought.

his heart feels so heavy right now, he's definitely not ready to see him again and with another girl.

he ran to the bathroom to dry the tears on his face.

he looked again on the mirror and took a deep breath

once he finished he walked to the door, about to leave when he bumped in to someone

it was EJ.

"Ricky! How are you?" EJ asked awkwardly

"I'm okay, how about you?" Ricky said as he tried so hard to fake a smile

"I'm great, currently studying here at University of Utah"

"Really? We must be schoolmates then"

"Oh you study there too? That's so cool. What do you take?"

"Engineering, you?"

"Law, its my dad wants back then but eventually i liked it" He said as he smiled at ricky. Ricky feeling flustered for a bit but then remembering he shouldn't

they stood there for a minute when EJ finally talked again

"Oh by the way, i'll get going. My girlfriend is waiting for me there" He said as he points outside of the cafe, his girlfriend standing there smiling and waved at ricky.

Ricky waved back and nodded to both of them.

They both went out of the cafe not saying anything more

"I'll get going ricky, it's really nice seeing you again" EJ says as his girlfriend stands next to him still smiling at ricky.

"Me too" Ricky said and waved as the couple walks away holding hands.

Ricky stands still where he is.
