"Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you!" Brianna's family sang, as they walked closer with a cotton candy flavored ice scream cake, from the local Dairy Queen. As Ava and Liam walked closer with the cake, it read Happy 13th Birthday Bri. As the cake held the 13 candles, with 2 shaped candles that were a 1 and a 3.

As they walked closer with the cake, "happy birthday dear Brianna! Happy birthday to you!!" The Anderson-Smith family sang to the now 13 year old girl, then they placed the cake down.

"Now blow out your candles and make a wish!" Gabe spoke excitedly to his little sister, so Bri took a deep breath in and blew out her candles. As her family clapped their hands and cheered, Bri's cheeks began to show red.

"Well little sis welcome to your teen years, your officially a teenager!" Ryan spoke in a teasingly way, while messing up his little sister's hair. Which of course Bri was annoyed by this, but she would let it slid this time.

As Liam took out the candles out of the frozen cold ice cream cake, Ava grabbed plate-bowls for all her family. As Ava handed all her children their plate-bowels, Liam began to cut the cake giving the first and biggest piece to his little birthday girl. Then giving a bit smaller pieces to his other children, then Liam processed to get a slice for his beautiful wife.

As everyone was eating their cake peacefully, the phone started to ring out of nowhere. Scaring the crap out Bri, but she didn't scream just a really bad jump. As Liam got up from the table, he shimmied over to where the landline was and answered it.

"Hello?" Liam spoke with a happy expression on his face, but it soon changed to happy to sad..

"I-O-Oh okay officer, are you sure it's my parents?.."

"Okay, well thank you for letting me know.. Yes you too, okay bye.." Liam spoke as he hung up the phone, and walked back to the table with tears prickling his eyes.

As Liam sat down, Ava stopped what she was doing and began to comforting her husband. As she started to rub his back in a calming way, as she knew the news wasn't going to be good at all.. But of all the things, why on their youngest daughter's birthday?..

"W-Well kids, um your Grandpa Ed and Grandma Isabel unfortunately passed away due to suicide.. God, why would they do that.. They always looked happy, and that they were okay.." Liam spoke as his voice started to crack, as he lost his little brother and sister-in-law 2 years ago, now he's lost his mom and dad.. He was the only one, in his family that was still standing..

"Oh honey I'm so sorry, maybe they were hiding it from us?" Ava spoke to her stressed out husband,

"Ava I know my parents wouldn't take their own lives to end their suffering. They had grandkids, they always said they wanted to be around as long as they lived to watch them grow.."

"Liam, maybe we should talk about this later. Remember it's Brianna's birthday still, let's not stress our kids out." Ava spoke, which ended the conversation right then and there in center.

After the funeral of Liam's parents, Liam wasn't hisself anymore. But he went into a deep depression, but with the help of his wife and his beautiful children he would make it out, of this dark hole of deep dark depression and fighting his own demons.

As soon as the Anderson-Smith's got home, they were greeted by Granny Amelia, Granddad Jack, Uncle Gabriel and Aunt Susie. There's relatives were on Ava's side of the family, Susie was the older sister of Ava and Gabriel was her husband they're anniversary for their 20 years of being married together, they've been married 5 years more then Ava and Liam.

"Oh my gosh Ava we heard the news on tv, Liam how are you doing?" Susie spoke frantically to her little sister and her husband,

"Well I don't know Susie, losing your whole family that has raised you is pretty tough.. I don't wish it upon anyone, it's the worst pain to go through. But without Ava and our kids, I wouldn't be here as well." Liam spoke to his sister-in-law, as she frowned at this.

Susie has always hated to hear any deaths, but she never expected the deaths to be about her little sister's husband. As she went over to Liam she hugged him, supporting him so he knows he's not alone. Then they all gave some gifts to Liam, Ava and the children.

It was just something to make their day with, maybe even distract them from the deaths that occurred in over the span of 2 years, of family members that will be loved and missed.

•~~2 weeks later~~•

As Bri was in her room just drawing nature, like animals, trees, mountains and water. She decided to look at the calendar on her mobile device that she got for her birthday, as she grabbed her new phone off of her bed. She went into the calendar app, then she swiped through the months since it was December 16th and Brianna's birthday was the 27th of November.

Bri wanted to make some plans with her friends for some weekends, but once she looked into the months of the calendar.. All the Friday's were saying it was Friday the 13th, and it wasn't a joke, from January to December of 2018.

Then Bri ran downstairs, then she noticed her mother looking at the calendar in confusion. "Mom what's wrong with the calendar?" Bri asked her mother, which Ava looked at her 13 year old baby.

"Mom has no idea hun, but what confuses me is that ever since you turned 13 the worst luck came upon us. Like your grandma and grandpa dying, and all the Friday's are Friday the 13th. Which is the most unluckiest day of the year! Do you think the calendar might be a prank honey?" Ava spoke to her child, while Bri shrugged her shoulders..

But Bri knew the year 2018, would be a long ass year.. With all the 13 numbers being placed everywhere, which was the most unluckiest number in the world. Brianna knew something bad or multiple bad things would happen this year, and with the deaths of her grandparents on her father's side, and 13 numbers placed everywhere she looks she didn't know if she would be alive by the end of this year..
