There is defiantly a strange pull to her. After 2 weeks of talking I cant deny it. I'm not really the kind of guy to fall for just any girl. I, being Alpha, have many girls from the pack throwing themselves at me wherever I go but, I never have been interested in any of them like that. Growing up my father always explained to me how mates work and how special it is when you have waited and saved yourself for them but, now that I'm not even a wolf I have no way of knowing if I even have a mate or an equivalent of one. That fact had been really discouraging for me lately in fact. That was until I met Nichole.

My mother has been pushing me to start looking for a Luna. "It's not good or proper to have an alpha or a pack without a Luna for very long" she says and she's right but what was I supposed to do?

It's very uncommon for an Alpha to not have a mate by his side when he takes over a pack. It makes everything more stressful without someone to help share all the responsibilities of caring for the pack and its safety. Of course I am an exception considering everything and my father has been a great help when ever I need it but, its not the same and I have to agree that it would make things run smoother if I had a Luna.

We are a strong, safe pack even though we are small because of the fact we are on an island, so we do not have many issues outside of the pack such as rogue wolves to deal with. This makes even my responsibilities as Alpha minimal. There are no humans that live on the island now because it was recently, in the last 50 years, deemed privately owned by our pack. We as a community are wealthy and hard workers so we had no problems with the perches and now can run freely in either our wolf or human forms, or in my case wings.

I have had no real problems with any members of the pack since that challenge the one wolf had with my Beta. Everybody has fully come to terms with and accepted me and there is no longer stiffness in the formalities, etc.

Everything seems to be going well and, the longer that's the case, the better.
