Riley POV
------------------------
The pack meeting had been cut short by reason of the weather getting worse. Everyone had headed to the bunkers being told to only take with them what was necessary that they could grab quickly.
The pack was all sat huddled together for warmth and comfort as we waited helplessly through the raging storm outside that was sure to leave a path of unavoidable destruction in its wake.
My Beta and I and a few other prominent members of the pack made regular rounds through the different rooms of the dimly lit structure checking for any injuries or problems of any kind and passed out blankets to the elderly, those in need and, to the children. My mother gathered some of the women from the pack and began reading books out loud and such to the children doing their best to keep them calm and distracted from the horrible events happening outside.
It has now been 3 days since the pack had sought shelter in the bunkers below ground, the very same ones meant for the wolves on the night of their first change and transformation, and still the storm continues outside. Luckily it is a large structure with many different compartments, some of which were stocked with food and other supplies we needed but, even those will only last so long with 150 people to consider.
I headed up the long cold hallway once again to the door of the bunker to check on the progress of the storm outside. Again hopeful to find that on the other side of the sealed door I will find the storm has finally let off. So far, however, I've had no such luck. Every time I have been disappointed to find it is just as bad as ever on the other side of this door.
I turn the heavy wheel on the door that seals us in away from the chaos and cold of the storm and, I begin to push the heavy door aside and braced myself for the extreme wind and rain. Discouraged that sure enough the weather is still just as strong as before and, feeling frustrated I fell to my knees and my fists hit the ground. I took in the sight of the storm from where I knelt at the open door. Every thing was different. Trees were fallen on the ground, buildings were broken or even collapsed completely. Debris and branches occasionally flew through the air caught in a gust of the strong wind. I yelled into the storm as I attempted to release some of the frustration that was building up inside me out but, to no avail. I didn't have the will to really fight the weather this time, I was already so discouraged. The pack has never experienced something like this and, the past 32 hours have felt like an eternity to them as well as to me. I was at the end of my rope but I could not let myself give up hope. They were depending on me to get us through this and thats exactly what I plan to do.
I was now shivering from the cold wind and soaking wet from the heavy rain, but I stood up with new determination and grabbed the heavy door to start pulling it shut when I heard a thunderous crash and saw a bright flash of light come from somewhere behind me. Then everything went black.
