Riley POV

---------------------------------

The news is devastating. There hasn't been a storm this bad on the islands in over a hundred years, and a hurricane no less. The forecast says it is expected to hit our islands within the next few hours, and just looking at the sky you can see its all wrong. Dark clouds are rushing in and the rain will surely start soon. I stare at the darkening sky through the car window with growing concern as I hurry on my way to the air strip where the jet is ready and waiting. I cant waist any time. I must get back to the pack as soon as possible.

As soon as we touched down I quickly moved from the jet to the waiting car fighting the already strong winds and the beginning of the rain. Jason had come to pick me up and I could see from his face that we where in for a long and chaotic next few days. Immediately as I entered the pack house I was greeted by panic stricken pack members all trying to voice their concerns to me at the same time. I held up my hand and waited for silence before I spoke in the most calm manner I could muster.

"My fellow pack members, I understand your concerns and welcome you to join me in discussing preparation for the coming storm. A pack meeting will be held in the conference room in an hour," and with that the crowd rushed their separate ways to prepare the best they could.

I grabbed Jason, my father and his former beta and pulled them into my office hoping that they would have some kind of guidance and advice on the situation we are currently being faced with, but lets face it nobody could have been ready or prepared for something like this.

Nichole POV

---------------------------

I was still sitting in shock at the cafe table when Lucy walked up to my table and sat down. The place was empty beside the staff who were shutting the place down. Everyone was rushing home to prepare for the storm as best they knew how.

"What are we going to do?" I asked her bewildered. "Nothing like this has happened in the islands in over 100 years!" I sank deeper into my chair as I thought of all the unavoidable damage that was to come in only a few hours.

Lucy just shrugged. Not wanting to stick around any longer the necessary, she grabbed my arm and pulled me up on my feet and towards her waiting car. The wind outside was already strong and the rain was in full swing as we ran and dove into the car. I hadn't even noticed how fast the weather had changed outside until now. We quickly pulled onto the main road and headed back home.

I watched out the window as the scenery passed by imagining what it might look like after all of this was over. My island, my beautiful island was never going to be the same after this storm if what the news had said is true. A hurricane is not something common for this part of the world. What were the people going to do? What were the elders going to do? Nobody on the island was prepared for this kind of storm. Do they even have an emergency plan for this? I guess we will find out soon.
