Days had passed into weeks and slowly Layla's belly was growing. She started feeling the baby kicking in her stomach and it made her smile every time. It was magical. To her last appointment, they could've known if it was a girl or a boy, but they decided to wait. To make it more exciting for the baby shower. Only Loren knew the sex.
As much as it was tempting to open the envelope, they never did it. They were doing the baby's room slowly, nothing was painted yet but the crib was made, the closet, the drawers... they were almost full of unisex stuff. Nothing was really newborn stuff, more like 3 months and plus since a baby grew up fast.
At that precise moment, Layla was folding the clothes she had taking out earlier and gently placed them into the drawers. Everything was classed.
Sebastian came in the room and leaned against the doorframe looking at her smiling. She was so beautiful. Even more then she already was. This pregnancy made her ravishing.
"This baby will be so lucky to have you as a mom."
She jumped a little and smiled looking at him. "I thought the little nugget would be lucky to have you has a dad." She got up and walked over him. "You are seriously the best thing that happened to me and this baby will be the luckiest one on this earth."
"I love you so much Layla... so, so much you don't understand." He kissed her softly on the lips. "Since the day I met you, I knew if I wanted to build a family, it was with you... even if I didn't want to tell myself the truth."
She placed her arms around his neck and played with the back of his hair tangled it a little. Yeah... they were definitely the most happiest couple. None of them couldn't ask for a better life at that precise moment.
"I love you too Sebby. So, so much."
He kissed her again deepening the kiss a little. He pulled away and kneeled in front of her placing his hands on her belly "And you little future baby too. I love you more than this entire world. Protect mommy for me." He kissed the tummy and got back up on his feet.
A small and happy kick was made and Layla smiled. "She or he's happy. The baby loves you too."
He took her hand smiling and led her outside of the room to bring her in the kitchen. She looked around and he made all her favourites. From the little snacks to meals to desserts. Everything was all she loved and she was about to cry because of the hormones.
She hugged him thanking him multiple times before going over the table and started eating because she was hungry.
He chuckled seeing her and sat in front of her snapping pictures to immortalize the moment. She looked up at him and made weird smiles with faces before eating back again.
Loren came in with more groceries and smiled seeing them. She really was happy for them. They had found each other and brought light into their darkness. She gave a fresh tea to Layla and a coffee to Sebastian before putting the food at its place and going in the other rooms to clean as her usual.
The CEO's girlfriend drank her tea and finished eating before she started doing the dishes. Sebastian got up of his chair and helped her to clean since it wasn't just to her to clean but to both of them.
He made her clean the light dishes and made her sit after so he could finish and she could relax. She thanked him and hummed to her baby rubbing her belly.
Enzo and Louie came hearing her and Louie laid on the floor with Enzo on him looking both at their owner. They were happy and ended up falling asleep not a long time after she started singing.
Sebastian came behind her and kissed her head before cleaning the table and the counter. Once she finished, both of her animals opened one eyes making her laugh and sang another song of hers.
They closed back their eye falling asleep again. Sebastian filmed everything she stopped when she had fallen asleep too. He carried her to their room and gently put her in bed to make her relaxing more. He put the blanket on her and walked out to go help Loren with the chores.
Free and happy. Both of them. They deserved it.
