"Congratulations again Julia, you aced your exam on Literature" the teacher said and handed Lia her test paper

"Thank you Ms. Emma" Lia said with a smile and then the teacher went back up to the board.

"Okay, I'll be seeing you all next week and be ready for your oral recitation by Wednesday, that's all. Thank you everyone" Ms. Emma said and went out of the classroom.

Since it was dismissal, Lia packed up her things and went over to the school library. Once she got in, she went over to some shelves and searched for a book she needs. After getting it, she went to a table and started studying.

It was always like that, after class or everytime she had free time, she would go to the library to study. The students around the school didn't bully her for that, it was normal for them since all of them would usually study on a regular basis.

"Hey Lia" she heard and turned her head to see one of her friends, well, she only had a few but this one was one of her Korean friends who also studies in the US.

"What is it Somi? and please don't call me Lia here, call me Julia" Lia reminded the younger and Somi just rolled her eyes on her

"Whatever, come on, we should go to that Korean store that just opened up around the corner. We should check it out" Somi said

"Can't you see I'm busy? go there alone if you want to" Lia said and focused on reading the book.

"You know, you're so boring. All you ever do is study. Don't you ever try to have some fun even when you're in Korea before? I guess you also just study there" Somi said and sighed but then Lia glared at her

"Don't you ever talk about my past in Korea Somi, I hate it. That's why I went here to the Us to focus on my studies. Go run along and do your thing. Leave me alone" Lia said and then Somi just rolled her eyes on her before leaving. She definitely hates how the older acts.

After a few more minutes, Lia decided to finally go home to rest and since her parents would now be finding for her.

She packed up her stuff, put the book back on the shelf and left the library. She went down and out of the campus to driver herself back home. When she arrived home she was greeted by one of the butlers.

"Good afternoon Ms. Julia" he said and Lia just nodded

Lia then made her way inside of the house with the maids greeting her. She didn't greet them back since she went upstairs to her parent's study.

"Oh Julia, you're home" Mrs. Choi said and stood up from her seat.

"Good afternoon mom, dad" Lia greeted and then handed them the test papers that she received today at school.

"As expected from our daughter, you got perfect once again" Mr. Choi said and chuckled

"Thank you, I'll be off to my room now" Lia said and her parents nodded in response.

Lia went to her room to change and to seat down on her bed. Just when you thought she would rest, she was actually reading another book.

When they arrived at the US all Lia cared about was to study. She really focused herself on that and then she didn't hang out with any of her classmates in school.

Lia's room was definitely different. She had a big study table, a shelf full of books, fiction and non-fiction. She had a big bathroom and a walk in closet. What was now just different that she never had anything from Chaeryeong. Not even a book, a note or any of the gifts that Chaeryeong had given her for the years of them hanging out and being together.

She completely forgot about Chaeryeong because all that matters to her now was her studies and nothing else. She wasn't even wearing their matching necklaces that they both got together on their first date as girlfriends.

Where is it you ask?

It was now with Chaeryeong. The younger is the one who was using it and she kept hers hidden in its box to keep it safe. As Lia had forgotten about Chaeryeong, the younger didn't. She constantly thinks about the older every single day and it was for sure devastating.
