"Thank you Natty and Somi" Chaeryeong said with a smile

"No worries, we also had fun" Natty said and hugged her best friend

"Maybe Lia's done with her meeting now" Somi said and Chaeryeong nodded

"Thank you again and get home safely" Chaeryeong reminded the two as they left.

Chaeryeong then goes back inside the hotel, hoping Lia was now done with her meeting since its been hours already.

Chaeryeong decided to buy a drink for her and Lia at the hotel's café.

"Good day Miss, may I get you anything?" the lady asked

"Yes, can I get two iced americanos?" Chaeryeong asked and the lady nodded

"Cash or card miss?" the lady asked

"Card" Chaeryeong said and the lady nodded. Chaeryeong then handed her card for payment and got it back right after. She waited for a while for the drinks to be done and as soon as it was finished she thanked the lady.

She made her way going to the elevator so that she could go to their room but suddenly, she accidentally bumped into a woman and spilled some of the drinks on the woman's clothes

"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry" Chaeryeong said apologetically. She wasn't sure if the woman was even a foreigner or not but at least she said it in english.

"Can't you-" The woman cut off her sentence when she saw Chaeryeong

"You"

Chaeryeong's eyes widened upon seeing the woman. It was Lia's mother, Chaeryeong exactly knew just looking at the woman's face.

"I'm so sorry, I-" before Chaeryeong could even finish her sentence she was dragged by the older woman.

"HEL-"

"Try to say another word, I'll make sure you won't see my daughter ever again" the woman said which made Chaeryeong frightened

Not being able to do anything else she just kept quiet and let the woman drag her to wherever she would being her to.

It weirded her out actually that the people around the hotel didn't care, they didn't even looked at them when the incident happened.

After a while, they arrived in another hotel room. Chaeryeong was scared of what would happen to her, she knows that Lia's mother hates her so much.

"Why are you here?" the woman asked sternly as she looked at Chaeryeong

"I... It's none of your business" Chaeryeong said, trying to act tough

"I'm asking you young lady before I let you leave and go back to Korea this instant" The woman said and it made Chaeryeong more scared but she didn't want to say the truth, she figured that Lia's mom just wanted Lia to stay here again at the US

"I'm not telling you!" Chaeryeong said loudly but she only felt a slap on her left cheek. She was shocked, the slap was very strong and the sound of it echoed inside of the room. Tears threatened to fall to Chaeryeong's cheeks. She felt the stinging of her cheeks badly and she just wanted to leave.

"I'm trying to ask you nicely young lady. If it weren't for you, Lia would be working here in the US and have an easier life. She wouldn't be working her ass off just for you. You're always a burden to my daughter, you're the reason why she can't even be the only one on top of the class back then" the woman said and Chaeryeong just kept mum.

"You know what? Lia deserves someone so much better than you" the woman said and looked at Chaeryeong from head to toe, judging her whole appearance.

"I bet she's just playing on you, she doesn't even love you" the woman said and chuckled bitterly at Chaeryeong
