Chaeryeong's POV

I squinted my eyes as I hear the birds chirping from outside, it didn't felt cold like it usually is when I wake up in the morning but I soon realised why. I slowly opened my eyes and saw that I was really close to someone's neck and the scent was familiar to me

Lia....

I tried to move my head away a little but couldn't move my body, only to know that Lia had her arms wrapped around me tightly. I couldn't remember clearly what happened but all I knew was that I fell asleep in her office. I was about to pull away but she just brought me in tighter once again. I just stayed there, not because I didn't want to interrupt her sleep but because I also missed times like these.

I then heard her groan so I quickly pretended that I was still sleeping, I felt her move away a little and the next thing I heard was she was now on the phone with someone.

"Yes dad, I'm sorry I didn't tell you right away.... yeah she visited me yesterday in the office.... of course... I couldn't just leave her.... Her house is like an hour away and it would take too long especially that she's sick.... mhm, I'll just go to work in the afternoon.... thanks dad" she then ended the call and I felt her caress my hair.

"I hope you feel better now" I heard her say softly and then she suddenly kissed my forehead. Of course it also shocked me but I really miss how affectionate she was to me all the time.

A little later the doorbell rang and I heard her groan once again.

"Tsk, who would be here early in the morning" she said annoyed so she slowly unwrapped her arms around me.

"I'll just go down okay? I'll be back in a while Chaery" she said as she kissed my forehead once again and went down the bed, of course I was still pretending to be asleep. As soon as she was out of the room, I sat up and thought if I should really give her a second chance....

Lia's POV

I went downstairs to the door and saw that Yeji was already going in since my maid let her.

"Hey Lia" she said with a smile and I just nod at her

"What's with your attitude today?" she asked me

"You know I'm not a morning person Yeji" I said as I led her to the kitchen

"My bad, well I just wanted to visit.... well, we wanted to visit" she said and I turned around and saw Yuna coming inside as well

"Hi unnie" she said and I greeted her back

"What do you two want?" I asked since they wouldn't be here anyways if they didn't need something

"Well.... we heard from Chaeyeon that Chaeryeong's with you here at the house" Yeji said and I just nodded at her

"Why is she here?" Yuna then asked

"She visited me yesterday at the company and then she stayed for a while but when I was about to leave she was already asleep and she was also heating up. I wasn't able to bring her to their house since it was too far away and she might get more sick" I said to them and then they nodded

"So.... you still care for her?" Yeji asked me

"Duh Yeji, I'm human after all. Who wouldn't care about someone being sick?" I asked her

"Well of course I know that but... I meant something else Lia, you know what I mean already" she said and I turn to face them

"What then?" I asked her

"Do you still love her?" Yeji asked me and it made my heart suddenly beat faster

"I...."

"You know I can't answer that right now Yeji" I said and went back to the fridge, I was hesitant to say it to them

"Hey, I was asking you" she said and it made me sigh

"Fine, I still do, even I know what I've done to her was so rude and so insensitive. Out of all the people who met her, I should've be the one who knew how she would be when she gets hurt. I already blame myself Yeji, I blame myself why she got into an accident, why she got sick. I don't care if she wouldn't want me back, all I want is to see her okay, I want to see her doing fine, not being hurt or anything" I said and I felt my eyes forming tears.

"Then why do you still love her unnie?" Yuna asked

"I... I don't know, I don't know the reason why, I just feel it. I just know that I still love her.... I'll always will" I said as I felt a tear fall to my cheek

"Lia?" we heard and when I turned my head I saw Chaeryeong by the stairs, why was she up already? she probably heard everything that I said.

"C-Chaery... why are you awake already? did I woke you up?" I asked, panicking a little bit as I wiped off my tears and went towards her

"No... I woke up a few minutes ago" she said and I nodded

"I'll prepare breakfast okay? go back to my room, I just need to talk to Yeji and Yuna" I said to her as I caressed her hair, she just nodded and went back upstairs.

"Do you two want to have breakfast as well?" I asked as I tried to calm myself down.

"No thank you, I guess me and Yuna could go now, we heard what we needed to hear. Take care Lia, oh also tell Chaeryeong as well" Yeji told me and she left with Yuna

I sighed and began cooking breakfast for me and Chaeryeong, she would probably want something hot for her to recover from her fever so I guess I could cook up some seaweed soup.

It took me a few minutes to get done with breakfast and I went back up to call for Chaeryeong.

"Chaery? let's have breakfast now" I called for her and then I entered my room to see her already seated with her phone in her hand.

"Lia" she called as she looked at me, I hummed in response, feeling a little bit nervous on what she would say

"I overheard you a while ago....." she said and it made me panic, my heart was beating fast. I was scared she would reject me, tell me that she doesn't love me anymore

"O-oh..." I muttered softly

"Was it true?....... you still love me?" she asked me and I looked at her as tears start to form in my eyes
