Stormy's POV

I appeared as I heard Beth saying she didn't believe Clayton. I had Volkan with me and we walked up in our wolf forms, knowing full well they would hear us and us being the biggest werewolves in our world, both over 6 ft tall in wolf form on all fours, we were pretty intimidating. The centuries had been good to us, as had the immortality.

"Good timing as always your Grace." Clayton said as we walked up.

"What causes your disbelief Beth?" I asked. Clayton stood, moving to her side.

"Oh my... your...." She mumbled before she collapsed onto the ground, Clayton catching her before she could hit her head on anything.

"You could have waited till I was done explaining, she's out cold!" He said, staring down at her and moving her hair out of her face.

"I apologize Clayton, but your mate or not, she is not allowed to disrespect me or my warriors. Not to mention that you should have told her sooner. I thought I told you to do it sooner than this! Don't blame me for your lack of balls in telling your mate you are in fact a god." I huffed, earning a loud laugh from the beta couple and my mate.

"No dear, you told him to take his time." My mate corrected me, I felt my cheeks burn. I hated when he did that, but he was too cute to stay mad at.

"Oh, well that's beside the point." I said. I may seem wise but for those who really know me deep down like my mate, I'm just like everyone else.

"She's coming to!" Clayton said kneeling down.

"Beth, wake up, are you alright?"

"I thought I saw the Goddess, and you said you were alpha of her 'most elite pack' and..... And..... "She closed her eyes and held her head." And what did I hit? My head is killing me!" She groaned eyes still closed.

"You hit my arm on your way down." He said as he sat her on a chair and gave her some water.

"Your arm is really hard." She said, opening her eyes slowly and blinking a few times.

Clayton motioned for me to shift back to my human form so Beth didn't freak out again. We did so in a matter of seconds before she opened her eyes completely and could focus on us. I came over slowly as not to startle her and took a seat next to her on Clayton's chair. I then gently placed my hand on Beth's forehead. I felt her stiffen for a moment then she opened her eyes, completely calm and I smiled at her.

"There she is, how do you feel?" I asked calmly.

"Better, thanks" she said looking around.

"What did you do?" she asked, more alert now.

"Just a perk of being the Moon Goddess," I said.

Since becoming the Moon Goddess, I have learned so many things that come with the job. My favorite by far though, was match making. It took a long time for me to find someone worthy of Clayton, but when Beth came along as newly rejected, I had to have a closer look. Seeing that she was meant to be a Luna was just a perk, but as a person, as a whole, she would be just what Clayton needed to quit being so serious all the time. He needed a little laughter and fun in his life, and I understand his role is of no joking matter. It is my life in his hands. He still needs love, and laughter, and peace. He needs to feel loved in return, and who better than her.

"Beth, I promise as much as I am the Moon Goddess in the flesh, that what Clayton is about to tell you and has been telling you is the truth. It is important that you consider all your options carefully and understand that there are pros and cons to both sides." I tell her seriously. She nods and I get up to let Clayton sit as he tells her about our lives here on the island, and what living here means.
