The boat docked and I saw Slayter tie off the rope as a ramp lowered to let the moving truck off. We walked onto the familiar dock but instead of going to the beach, we loaded up in a jeep Clayton drove us to his house. The island was much more expansive than I originally thought and I was astounded at how many different species and people I saw walking around.

"That over there is Lindsey, she is one of our cheetahs, and the guy over there is Kaleb, he is our "Papa Bear"." He laughed, telling me the names of people who we passed and for the ones who weren't shifted, he would tell me their animal forms as well. I was never going to remember any of this right away but I liked seeing all the different people.

"How do you remember everyone?" I asked, at him and let out a sigh of relief. His color returned and he no longer looked beaten down and tired, even though we hadn't had any sleep in the last 24 hours. He must be so exhausted, I knew I was. The day was slowly creeping to evening and it was already 5 PM.

"Years of practice, and a lot of them are either about as old as me, or have just made that good of an impression." He said. "See something you like?" he asked as he caught me staring. I blushed and looked out the window again.

"Yes." I said quietly.

"Coming up here is the pack house, and behind it is my... I mean our house." He corrected himself.

The pack house was huge, and while some members lived in smaller homes around the pack home, the house itself housed all single shifters and shifters who were newly changed, just like the pack house back home.

Clayton and I had our own house that was just out back of the pack house but it wasn't nearly as large. There were shops and restaurants everywhere leading up main roads to the housing development. Everything was within walking distance for a shifter, but you could drive as well. Most of the island was dense forest or other biomes for creatures to run in. The buildings are big enough for everyone to walk around in animal form, well most people, and so far, since it was getting late, everyone was either at home or at the pack house getting ready for dinner. I never got a chance to finish looking around the town, but from what I saw I was astounded and excited.

Our house came into view and it was amazing. A two story ranch style home with a front porch greeted us, a two car garage next to a single car garage, and trees galore around it.

So much had happened in the last two days and I was ready to collapse. Clayton and Slayter were bringing boxes into the house. Slayter was huge in his human form, bigger than I had expected. He was about the size of Clayton, but a few inches taller. He had skin dark as his black coat in horse form and piercing green eyes. His teeth were white and straight and looked as if they sparkled when he smiled. His head was shaved but he had a good goatee going and was incredibly handsome.

Sasha was waiting outside and snagged me before I could go inside. Her blonde hair was in a graduated bob and she had chocolate brown eyes. Her skin was sun kissed and she had an air about her that shouted edgy. She was about the same age as me and only slightly taller. Daring eyeliner and eye shadow completed her punk rocker look and while her clothing said lazy day at home, I had a feeling it wasn't her usual going out attire.

"Boys we will be back later," she called as she dragged me out of the room and down the hall. Before they could object, we were already out the door and walking to what I assumed would be the pack house.

"It is good to see you again! At least this time we can communicate with more than a nod." She said excitedly.

"It's great to see you again too Sasha.." I smiled as we came up to a sliding glass door.
