Beth's POV

The goddess was sitting in front of me and she looked serene, but her eyes held true power and you could see a constant storm swirling in her eyes... literally. Looking around, everything that happened flooded back to me and I strangely felt calm about everything. I understood what he told me though I was still a little unsure of being Luna of his pack and what all it might come with. I mean, my second mate, was the warrior for the Moon Goddess herself and here she was.... healing me and helping Clayton explain everything. I had so many questions.

"So let me get this straight. You are the alpha of a small pack of the BEST fighters of every shifter species out there, my mate, and you expect me to come live with you and leave my family behind, not being able to see them but once a year?! On top of that I become immortal and get to watch my family die while I live forever and what if we were to have pups? Would they die too or would they be immortal?" I ask, my mind swirling with thousands of questions.

"Yes, but after the first year you can go back as often as you want, it's just while the pack gets acclimated and you train, unless there is a war then you can only do the once a year till it's over since we aren't allowed to interfere. They can only come to the island once a year unless they find their mate among my pack."

"You mean like the war that is about to start." I huffed a breath out of my nose and found myself wishing I was home and curled up in my bed, so that I could think about all of this.

I wished I could see Minnie and my mom and dad because they would be able to help me, as well as Aiden, C.j., Danny, and Erin. The next thing I knew, I was in my room, my very familiar room, curled up in my bed.

"Mom? Dad? Guys?" I heard immediate thundering footsteps up the stairs and the phone's continuous ringing. The door busted open with a very concerned Father who was on the verge of shifting in the doorway and my brothers right behind him looking just as mad then relieved once they came in and saw I was fine.

"Beth? Where have you been?! It has been 6 days since anyone has seen or heard from you!" My father shouted.

"That is impossible! I was on the beach with Clayton 2 seconds ago then I closed my eyes and wished I was here and..." I said dumbfounded. Had it really been 6 days?

Just then I overheard my mother on the phone. "Yes Clayton she is back, no she's fine, I understand but I thin...." The front door downstairs burst open and an inhuman, un-wolflike growl made its way through the house. Everyone stepped aside as a huge white tiger made its way into my room and sniffed all over my body. I stood completely still in fear at this strange shifter in front of me.

He roared again and everyone but me cleared out of the room. I turned away and he shifted, I could hear his heavy breathing and feel the anger rolling off the tiger now turned man in front of me, in waves. I recognized Clayton almost immediately.

"Why did you run away from me?!" He thundered. I could tell he was mad. I turned around to see a broken man, the hurt shown clearly in his eyes. His hair was dull and his skin pale, he looked sick and like he hadn't slept in days.

"I was scared Clayton. I thought it would be normal just like every other mating out there, I never expected anything like this to happen. I never expected to meet the Goddess herself, let alone have her scolding me for freaking out about what any normal person would freak out about! And since when do you turn into a damn tiger!" I shot back, tears rolling down my face. His features softened and he took a tentative step forward.

"You have had six days apparently to think about all of this I only just got here. How would you expect me to react?!" I yelled back at him. "I don't even know how I got here, where I have been for the last six days or anything else. To me, I was just sitting on the beach with you and wished I was home and then popped up here."
