Clayton's POV
I woke slowly, getting up out of bed soundlessly as I walked to the office of Jameson Collins.
"Come in" he said, before I could knock.
"Alpha Jameson, I apologize for how I acted earlier, but your son is getting out of hand." I said.
He held his hand up to me. "No need to explain. I have been warning him all week to back off and he has gotten what he deserved, quite frankly I was on my way to do the same thing. I'm surprised Melissa still has no idea, or if she does she is good at pretending she does not."
"She knows. She was outside the office when we told you last time." I replied.
"I see. Well, that is her relationship with my son. I will have a talk with her though." He replied
"Now to business. Why didn't you tell me when you got here who you truly were? Your presence in that moment reeked of Alpha, and your eyes don't turn gold, they turn blue. What are you?" He asked, not scared in the least.
"I am not allowed to..." I zoned out for a moment, receiving a sight from the goddess. "She said I could tell only you, should you tell anyone I will have to exterminate you." I stated. He looked around.
"Who told you? There is no one here." He replied.
"The Moon Goddess." I replied. He paled a little and nodded.
"I am Clayton Knight, alpha of the Dark Moon pack, guardian of the Moon Goddess herself. I have been alive since the first Goddess created me, protecting her and all her daughters." I stated proudly.
"I knew it, I also know you probably cannot disclose anything else she has told you." I nodded in agreement.
"Well then, I thank you for your assistance in preparing us all for the upcoming rogue attack, though I feel I should warn you. My son is not of his right mind since he rejected Beth. I fear he may try to do something stupid. Keep a close eye on her." He said.
"Your three packs protect the sacred portal for the Moon Goddess. Though no one else has access other than herself and her chosen, it is one of the few portals she can come through to Earth on. Your duty is to protect it at all costs." I tell him seriously. He nods in understanding.
We chatted for a while longer about a few battle strategies and I headed back up the stairs to find Damon asleep next to my door.
I nudged him with my foot and he startled as he woke up, getting off the floor quickly into a fighting stance.
"Go to bed, pup." I said, opening the door quietly and stepping inside.
"She will be mine. She will come crawling back to me.
He glares at the door and I growl before I hear him stomp off towards the stares. I disappear into the room and close the door behind me.
