[IRIS- NATALIE TAYLOR]
Liam's Voice over: "I've been thinking a lot lately. About the reason that I'm here- about everything that got me here, to be with my mom and my family. And then I realize there's a big secret behind it. The secret that I'm keeping from everyone I love. (sighs deeply and clears his throat) And then I remember you asking me; How would I imagine if that secret were, to get out?"
In the morning, Liam went to the Ethan and Iris' condo as he decided to play video games with his uncle and aunt. Ethan and Liam were being really competitive with one another as Iris kept laughing at the times, her husband was whining about the boy using his speed to win.
"I've been doing what I already know to do. Lie. Contain my movements to a minimum, destroy any evidence that trails to me, manage my anger and expressions better. But in all honesty. I don't think I can anymore."
Later that day; Liam made his way back home and was having a family game night with his parents. The speedsters were in the living room, sitting on the ground as they set the game on the table. The young boy walks back to his parents with glasses of lemonade.
"No, no, no-" Y/N complains as she shakes her head and the boy looks between his parents with a small grin. The girl points at the game board, "That doesn't count, because it's not a word."
"That's a word." Barry states in a matter-of-factly tone and he sticks his tongue out at his wife.
"Alright fine, smart ass-" Y/N picks up a book beside her and Liam laughs at their antics, "-let's check if that word even exists in the dictionary, yet."
Liam looks at the word on the board to see that Barry spelt― SCHWAY.
"Babe, nope, look at this." Y/N points at the page in the dictionary and skims through it, "It's not even here."
"But it is a word, Liam tell your mother." Barry looks at his son, who shook his head.
"Oh, no, I've learned enough time being here, I do not want to debate against my mother." Liam tells him with a look as he picks up his drink.
"See? He's a smart kid." Y/N smiles at Barry, who frowns slightly, "And that word is a future word, not a 2019 word, so― ha!"
Liam laughs and he looks between his parents as they continue to argue about the word counting or not. He sighs softly and stares inside his cup of lemonade and frowns as a horrible feeling filled inside of him.
Liam's Voice-Over: "And it's not because of what you think. It's because the more closer I get to them. I feel like I'm hurting them, and they don't know. And it hurts me everyday."
His gaze then falls on his mother as she covers her face with her hands and shakes her head. Barry laughs at her and cheers knowing that he got the points.
"How can I keep lying to them?"
[THE NEXT DAY]
"You ready for this?" Barry asked Liam, the two standing at the entrance of the ice rink. The young speedster was dressed with black sweats, a long shirt sleeve, a light sweater and blue beanie.
"I don't think so, dad." Liam admits quietly, glancing at him and taking a deep breath, "I don't think I'm fast enough."
"And I thought you were really competitive?" Barry questions him with a grin, looking at the boy.
"I am!" Liam defends with wide-eyes.
"Alright then, this is the biggest race of your life." Barry goes on, "Get ready."
