───SIX YEARS AGO; CENTRAL CITY───

"Come on, please." Y/N begged her best friend, leaning against the pillar on the lab of CCPD as she began to follow him around the lab, "It's just a little white lie for your best friend."

Barry turns around to face her with a look, "Don't do that― you know that I'll do it so-"

"I promise I'll be back before you know it." Y/N tells him, grabbing his hands in hers as she began to swing their link hands back and forth, "It's just going to be a small trip to Starling City, Barr."

Barry looks at their linked hands and smiles brightly with a small blush, looking back at her with a small exhale, "Fine. Fine, I'll cover for you."

Y/N smiled brightly and jumped up and down, quickly pulling him in for a hug as a small giggle fell from her lips. Barry smiles and hugs her back just as quickly, holding her.

"So I'm going to take a guess and say he agreed."

The two pulled away to see Iris making her way inside the lab with a teasing smile. Y/N smiles and nods, "Yup."

"I knew he would." Iris says, stealing a glance at Barry― who quickly waved off her look.

"Alright, now I need you two to work together and not raise any suspicion to Joe." Y/N placed her hands on her hips, looking between the two.

"Don't worry, I think we can handle it." Iris assured her and Barry nods in agreement, "But then again― we can't make any promises."

"I had a feeling." Y/N muttered quietly, making her way towards her bag and sweater. The girl has on black leggings, converse and a red tank top.

"Although you're sure that you don't need any of us to go with you?" Iris asked, "'Cause I wouldn't mind going with you."

"No, I'm going to be fine." Y/N assured her with a small smile, "I mean― it can't be that bad, right?"

"I really hope not." Barry mutters, crossing his arms.

Y/N glances at the time on her phone and quickly puts it away, swinging her bag over her shoulder and grabbing her sweater, "Okay― I really should start going. Bye."

"Please be careful." Iris calls out and Y/N turns around to face her, starting to walk backwards, "Neither of us need a call that you got into some trouble in another city."

"Can't really make any promises." Y/N grins, stepping out of the lab.

"Well, do be careful." Barry tells her with a serious expression, "I don't want to hear that you got yourself hurt or something."

Y/N smiles at him softly, "Now that, I do promise to be very cautious."

Barry smiles back and the girl finally walks out of the lab, walking down the stairs and heading out of the precinct.

The young woman was quick to put on her red sweater before quickly getting in a cab to head to the train station. Once she arrived, the girl waited in the station for her train that was taking some time to arrive― soon enough, it came and she got on, ready to go.

The girl exhales softly, placing her bag on top of her as she listens to music, her gaze on the outside as she watches the scenery past her. Oh, what she will expect in Starling City.

-STARLING CITY-

The rain was heavy once she reached the city, the girl pulled the hood over her head and walked out of the train, looking around for the exit and found it, starting to make her way out. The young woman then decided to head to the Police Department to try and get involved in a case that could help her own. The minute the girl walked in the precinct― she removed her hood, her hair slightly damp as she asked for the captain but someone else decided to talk to her, since the Captain couldn't be found.
