Y/N speeds out of the accelerator and stands inside the pipeline, closing the door behind her as she felt the anger build inside of her. Her gaze falls on the spot she left Liam before heading to the future, and he wasn't there anymore. The girl speeds inside the Speed Lab and takes off her sweater, throwing it to the side as her gaze falls on the punching back a few feet away from her.

She began to lightly punch it, and with every hit she was giving it― the anger grew even more. Y/N couldn't get mad at her son, as much as it hurt her to find out he was working with Thawne― she couldn't get mad or hate him for it. She knew the type of person he was, how he can manipulate people― so she blamed him for everything once again.

But a small part blamed herself.

The speedster continued to punch the bag before a heavy exhale left her lips and she grabbed the bag, leaning her forehead against it as she squeezed her eyes shut.

Barry walked inside the speed lab and caught sight of her, the brunette inhaled sharply and walked over to her. Y/N heard the footsteps behind her causing her to pick her head up and turn around to face him.

"Where did you go?" Barry asks softly, crossing his arms as he looks at her.

Y/N digs her hands inside her pockets and shakes her head, "I went to think about something. After what Liam told us, I― I couldn't just stay there."

"You went to see Thawne?" He questioned her.

Y/N stared at him and walked past him to pick up her sweater to put it on, "Yeah, I did. I needed my answers from him, I confronted him."

"What about Liam?" Barry asks, "What are we going to do about him?"

She shakes her head and closes her eyes, turning around to face him once again, "I just know that he can't be involved in this anymore. He can't help us stop Cicada."

Barry sighs softly and walks over to her, "Y/N, I know that this hurts you more than anything. But he's our son, he never meant to hurt you-"

"Barr, he knew what Thawne did-" She cut him off, "I took him to the past, remember? And I finally told him, yet instead of stopping his partnership with him― he continued to go back to him. Every time."

"Yes, okay." Barry said and the two look at one another, "But that's why we let him explain. Heard his side of the story, we read his journal― the one thing that he always writes in."

"Barry-" Y/N scoffs softly, crossing her arms, "-I love Liam with everything inside of me. He's our kid, and like I told him, I could never hate him for this, but that doesn't mean it doesn't hurt. I don't think we should let him continue helping us, but it doesn't mean I want to send him away."

"I think we should let him help us." Barry tells her and the girl looks away from him, "He did all of this to save your and Ethan's life. His intentions were never wrong, even if he's working with a man like Thawne."

The speedster looks back at him as tears build in her eyes, "I can't do it, Barr-"

"He just wanted to meet you, Y/N." Barry tried to convince her, holding her face in his hands, "He wanted to meet his family, the one that he had no idea existed. He wanted to know what it felt like having his mother in his life― make memories with her that he never had a chance in doing before. You out of everyone in this team understand that? You did it. Especially working with someone like Thawne."
