I won't give up (Completed)

Chapter 9.

Maya's POV 

Changing your life is not easy. Specially when you are trying to push everyone away. 

What's funny is that since that fight I had with Tori, she hasn't tried to look for me. So I guess I did the right thing. 

My family is worried, I know they are, but right now I can't seem to bother explaining to them what happened. 

If it wasn't for my family, I would've probably given up on life by now. 

Sometimes I still think about it. But I know I can't do that to them. 

So instead of ending my life, I moved somewhere new. I'm now in New Zealand, trying to change my life for the better, trying to make my own life. 

"Did you heard that BTS is coming to New Zealand like next week?!" I heard some girl say behind me and my eyes widened. 

"Yes!!! They are coming to film some program or something." 

"I think it's called Bon Voyage, I've watch some episodes and it's so fun, they always try to do this in different countries so that they can see different cultures and stuff. It's so funny to see them reacting and interacting with each other." 

I need to stop listening. 

What I'm I gonna do now? Maybe I should leave... 

But I'm loving it here, until now everything has been great. I have a new job, I'm a teacher for little kids and it's everything I ever wanted. 

Maybe if I don't go out for that week, I won't be seen any of them. 

Yeah, that's what I have to do. 

I even changed my number for gods sakes. I can't give up on changing my life now just because they are coming here and there's a small chance I might meet up with them. 

I can't let that stop me. 

"Sorry, um I know I shouldn't be hearing your conversation but do you know for how long they will be staying?" I decided to asks and they all looked at me surprised that I was hearing their conversation but they nodded smiling slightly at me. 

"They are staying for a week, I think." One of the girls said and I nodded as I thanked her. "Wait, are you a fan?" 

"Oh no no not at all." I replied as I then ignored their weird staring and kept walking. 

God I really really hope I won't meet with them.

When I got to my new house, which was very small, it only had one bedroom, one bathroom, the kitchen and living room, I left my stuff by the door and decided to lay down on the couch and turn on the TV. 

"It's been rumored that the biggest boy band on the planet right now, is going to come to New Zealand for vacations. Fans are really excited to be able to see them in their natural habitat and not just in a concert. They've been saying that it's for a show called Bon Voyage, in which the boys go to different countries and go to different adventures. Hopefully the boys will love New Zealand and will have fun here-" 

Even in the TV I can't get rid of them. 

Sighing I turned the TV off and decided to look at my phone. I scroll through instagram, the new account I created so I didn't have to follow any of the guys nor Tori. 

Thinking about her makes me regret the fight we had, but knowing that she hasn't tried to reach me, not even from my family, I know that I made the right choice. 

Looking at reels I suddenly came across a BTS fan account. For gods sake. 

Scrolling down immediately, there was another one, and another one, and another one. 

I'm going crazy. 

I can't escape them.

I look at the clock at it said that it's 9pm and although it may be a bit early to go to sleep, I don't care. I have nothing else to do and I can't look at technology anymore. 

Closing my eyes I got in a better position on the couch, because I can't even bother to go to my bed. 

Maybe I should eat? 

Eh, too much effort, I think it's better if I just sleep.

"That would be so funny!" Tori said as she was laughing so much making me laugh with her. 

Jungkook took my piano and started playing it with different sounds. Since it was an electric piano, it had different kinds of sounds which made it sound funny. 

"Jungkook omg!" Taehyung said as he was laughing with us too. We decided to hang out today, since none of us had anything better to do and they all decided to come to my house. Which I don't mind at all. 

"You should play something too Maya!" Tori said and I looked at Jungkook who gave me some space besides him so I would play something with him. 

Somehow we both knew what to play. 

"When I look into your eyes..." Jungkook started and when he started singing, it was the first time I ever heard him sing. I can't say that he is bad, because I would be lying if I said he was. 

"It's like I'm watching the night sky..." 

"Or a beautiful sunrise, well there's so much they hold." 

My heart was beating so much against my chest, I felt like it was going to burst. I don't usually play in front of people, let alone play with someone else, but somehow, we were connected. 

"And just like them old stars, I see that you've come so far, to be right where you are, how old is your soul?" 

"Well I won't give up on us, even if the skies get rough, I'm giving you all my love, I'm still looking up." We continued with the song, each time getting more in sync, making me less nervous. At the beginning I thought I was going to mess it up but just by looking at Jungkook's eyes I knew it was going to be okay. 

"Awww guys that was beautiful!" Tori suddenly said once we finished and we couldn't stop looking into each others eyes. "I didn't know you could that well Jungkook!" 

"Thanks." Jungkook said "You played well." He told me and I look down at my hands that were touching his slightly, and felt myself blush. 

Pull yourself together Maya. 

"It was beautiful. You should all kiss already!" Taehyung said making everything so much more awkward. 

Jungkook cleared his throat and laughed nervously. "Taehyung shut up." He said jokingly and I laughed awkwardly too. 

I separated from Jungkook and he started playing something random again and something came to me, and I began to act crazy, knowing it was making everyone laugh. I love making my friends laugh. 

I was following Jungkook's playing, "dancing" with the rhythm and acting all weird but also laughing while doing it, making everyone laugh even more. 

I haven't felt this happy in so long. And I knew I had to take in this moment. Because it won't last.

When I heard the alarm on my phone I groaned as it was interrupting me from such a beautiful dream, but I knew it wasn't just a dream. 

It was a memory and I couldn't help but think 'did he dreamed about me too?'
