Zoey disappeared down the stairs and it didn't take the intelligence team to look at the dark-haired detective that smirked and walked back to his desk. "What was that?" Antonio asked looking his way. "What?" Jay asked playing dumb, "How'd you get a girl like that?" Adam asked confused. "believe it or not, I do have game," the detective said. "Sure okay" was all Antonio said with a laugh along with most of the unit.
Zoey & Kelly's Apartment, Bucktown Chicago
Zoey stood in her bathroom finishing off her makeup when a knock sounded from the front door. "IT'S OPEN" the blonde called assuming it was Jay considering it was almost 5:30. Zoey finished off her mascara adding a blood red matte lipstick smiling as her eyes looked over her reflection. Zoey wore a strapless, skintight red dress that hugged her curves perfectly along with the dress the blonde had her hair styled in an updo that was simple yet elegant.
Zoey turned walking out of the bathroom into the living room with each step she took her black lack stiletto boots clicked against the floor as she entered the room. Jay was standing by the door in a sleek black suit and a light blue dress shirt with no tie which he pulled off well. The detective looked sexy as fuck especially with the dark tinted ray bands covering his eyes that she could still feel checking her out.
"Wow, you look... amazing," Jay said stunned as a smirk fell on his face, "You look pretty charming yourself," Zoey said with a smirk as the detective leaned down pressing his lips to her. After a moment he broke the kiss looking into her bright blue eyes, "Be my girlfriend Zoey?" he asks softly as Zoey nodded her head yes before pressing her lips back on Jay's. "We really should get going or we're gonna be late," She said breaking the kiss after a moment as she grabbed her purse, keys and phone before they left the apartment.
Zoey locked the door and she and Jay both made their way outside climbing into his truck before they started driving towards the restaurant with a huge smiles on their face.
Brindile Chicago
Jay and Zoey made their way into the extremely formal restaurant hand in hand with the blonde who lead the way. She paused at a podium where a man in a suit stood with a stuck-up look on his face when he saw them, "Rossi party" was all Zoey said, "Right this way, the rest of the party is already here," the man said as he leads Jay and Zoey through the restaurant and outside to a large table that the BAU was seated at on a terrace overlooking the city. "Hey Severide, right on time," Rossi said as the two walked in taking a seat. "I took the liberty of getting you le chartolone" Rossi said as the man that showed them to the table poured the blonde a glass of red wine. "I wasn't quite sure what to get you detective- Please call me Jay and I'll have the same thing," he said with a smile. "Wine and I never end well," Severide said with a smirk as she took a sip of the sour liquid that made her lips pucker a bit at the taste.
"Wait you can rail back tequila but wines your weakness?" Jay asked curiously, "What can I say, I am a woman of particular taste," she replied with a shrug. "So Jay Iraq or Afghanistan?" Morgan asked causing the detective to pause. "Um What?" he replied slightly confused, "Your posture says Marines? Rangers?" the profiler said more than asked. "I did 2 tours in Afghanistan with the Army Rangers," Jay replied as Morgan nodded. The team asked Jay a few more questions before the conversation shifted and they were telling Jay some of the cases they'd worked on over the years.
Overall dinner went amazing and everyone got along surprisingly well with Jay especially after he relaxed a bit and got more comfortable around everyone, the 3 bottles of fancy french Wine Rossi had going around the table. By the time their food arrived Zoey was already pretty wine drunk.
Zoey woke up to a splitting headache causing her to groan and open her eyes noticing she was laying in her bedroom. How the hell did I get home and what happened? The sound of a high ptch ring make her groan. Jay chuckled a bit next to her, "Halstead" he said answering the device, "Yea, I'll let her know, See you soon" he said through the line before hanging up. "That was Will, your appointments in 10 minutes" he said from next to her.
Zoey sighed pushhing herself up on the bed, "What the hell happened last night? My head feels like it got smashed in by a brick" she says groaning in pain as she pulled on a pair of blue skinny jeans and a black tank top. "What's teh last thing you remember?" Jay asked with a light laugh as he also got up getting dressed. "Honetly, eating dinner was teh last ting I remember" Zoey replied awkwardly causing Jay to laugh shaking his head. "Well after we left dinner. Morgan, Reid, Prentiss and JJ went to Molly's with us. Herrman had kareoke going and you got on the bar and started scream singing Hot by Avril Lavigne," Jay replied causing Zoeys face to turn red. "That sounds like something I'd do with Shay," she replied with a light laugh.
Jay smiled at the blonde walking over and pressing his lips to hers softly, "Your incredible, you know that?" he said with a smirk on his face. "I know it comes with the stunning Severide genes" she replies with a smile walking out of her room and out the door followed by Jay. Zoey locked teh apartment and the two walked outside to the detectives pickup truck. They both got in the vehicle and Jay started driving towards MED.
Chicago Med
It didn't take long for Jay and Zoey to arrive at the hospital, almost the moment tehy walked in Dr. Halstead greeted them and brought them into a trauma room. "So how are you feeling Zoey?" the ginger haired doctor asks her after sending a smirk to his brother. "Hungover but other than that I feel like a hundred bucks" she said earning a confused looked from both Jay and teh doctor. "You mean a million bucks?" Jay asked her with a smirk while leaning on the wall. "No smart ass, A hundred. I don't know what a million bucks feels like. Do you?" she asked the detective with a smirk as he smiled. "Fair point," was all he said earning a smile from the doctor.
Will ran a few tests and scans along with some bloodwork. "Everything looks normal, how are you feeling emotionally and mentally?" the doctor asked. "Awesome, can't complain" she replies shrugging unsure of what to say other than that. "Alright well you all cleared to go back to work, I will fax these off to your supervisor." the ginger haired doctor said with a smile. "Thank you Dr. Halstead," Zoey said causing Will to look at Jay before looking back to the blonde with a smile. "Call me Will, after all your dating my brother," he replied before walking out of the room.
"So you told your brother about us?" Zoey said more than asked with a huge smirk on her face. "Oh yea. I foret to tell you that. You kinda outed that to everyone at Molly's while you were singing on the bar," Jay said causing Zoey to laugh and shake her head. "Well shit... At least it's memorable" she said earning a laugh from Jay as tehy walked out of the trauma room and heading down the hall to the exit. "So... I guess it's official." Zoey said more than asked as tehy climbed into the pickup truck. "Yea... is that alright?" he asked looking into her blue eyes, as she smiled and noded her head yes before placing a kiss on her boyfried lips.
