Chapter 2

Molly's Bar, Bucktown Chicago 

Jay and Zoey walked into the bar that wasn't crazy busy, The blonde looked around the room as he gaze landed on her older brother Kelly sitting at the bar taking to Gabby who stood behind the bar. With a smile she walked over taking a seat next to her brother, "Hey, Kells" she said earning a shocked and surprised look. "Your home?! When did you get back?" Kelly asked smiling as he engulfed her in a hug. "I just flew in, Jay picked me up from O'Hare" Zoey replied as they let go of the hug. 

"So what are you having?" Gabby asked looking at Zoey who slid her credit card over. "I'm gonna just open a tab now and start with 2 tequila double please," she asks as the brunette nods. "Hard case?" Kelly asked as his sister sighed and nodded. "Wanna talk about it?" Gabby asked, "Let me get a little buzzed and I'll tell you about it," Zoey said as Jay walked over taking a seat at the bar next to Zoey as Gabby set the 2 shots on the counter in front of them. 

After 2 tequila doubles (4 tequila shots) the clear liquid was starting to get Zoey buzzed and letting her relax a bit. "We got called to Florida for a case where. Women were being abducted, and sexually assaulted, the unsubs would record a video of the assault and mail it to the victim's families and then they would suffocate the women and threw them away like trash." Zoey said shaking her head. "Our team started investigating and we eventually found the two men that were responsible for raping these women but it turned out it wasn't even them that planned the whole fucked up thing. Iy was one of the wives that... lied to us about how her husband beat her, and she went to a point where she beat herself to a pulp just to convince us." Zoey was angry as she spoke. "She planned the whole thing and fucking played me, people just make me fucking hate people," Zoey said letting out a sigh of frustration as Gabby poured another double shot for the blonde. "Thank you," Zoey said downing the shot. "I'm just glad I'm home for the next 3 days," Zoey said earning a smile from everyone. 

The conversation turned to a call the firehouse had responded to but Zoey was lost in memories of all the bruises and beating Jack gave her, "You okay?" Jay asked softly noticing Zoey was zoning out with a sad look on her face. "yea, just tired. I'm probably gonna go home n get some sleep. Sorry" Zoey said pulling herself from her thoughts before she just turned and left the bar. 

The blonde started walking towards her and Kelly's place not really in the mood to be around people after today. "Zoey, wait up" she paused turning to see Jay jogging towards her. "You left your credit card," he said handing her the small plastic rectangle. "Thanks," she said softly, Zoey went to saw something when Jay leaned in crashing his lips on hers taking the blonde by surprise. Their lips moved in sync for a moment before she broke the kiss looking into his eyes. "Your place or mine?" Zoey asked him. "Your place is closer," Jay said as the two began walking since they had drank too muchtequila to drive anywhere. 

The two walked down the street as Jay wrapped his arm around the blonde smiling at her, "Sorry, we didn't end up getting dinner" Zoey said as the pair turned the corner walking down teh street towards the Severide sibling's apartment. "Don't worry about it, plus we got 3 days to grab some food," the detective said sending a smile her way as Zoey smirked unlocking the door to the building leeting them inside. 

Zoey & Kelly's Apartment, Bucktown Chicago 

Jay and Zoey walked up the stairs and straight to the apartment teh blonde unlocked and opened before walking inside. The moment she walked in she noticed at least half her belongings had been unpacked. Photos of her, Kelly, Shay and Gabby hung on the wall along with a photo of Zoey and her team with teh BAU. A smile formed on the blondes face as she looked over the photos Kelly must have unpacked. "I guess Kelly got tired of all my boexes of shit laying around," Zoey said with a smile looking at the detective who walked over hugging her from behind while he looked over the photos placing a kiss on Zoey's head. 

The blonde turned around in the muscular brunette's hold looking up into his bright blue eyes, Zoey eyes fell from his eye to his lips than back to his eyes as she began closing the gap between them. Suddenly Jay pressed his lips to hers. Zoey's eyes flutter shut as her lips move in sync with the detectives. Everything on her mind being washed away by the familiar feeling of fireworks going off in her stomach. Jay lifted the blonde deepening their kiss as Zoey wrapped her legs around his waiste as he carried the blonde over to her room laying her on the bed  as he broke the kiss. 

In a swift move the dark-haired detective pulled his shirt off reveling his muscular toned abs that drove Zoey only slightly crazy. The blonde smirked pelling her shirt off revealing the baby blue lace bra she was wearing before she leaned forwards unbuckling his belt letting his pants fall to the floor. Jay pressed his lips to Zoey's again, as their lips moved in sync the blonde slowly pulled her pants off tossing them on the floor next to the bed. 

Zoey sat up startled from the recurring nightmare she'd been having for almost a month now. It was always the same thing too, it was that creepy pink kids room. The human dolls staring at her, but the worse was she couldn't move even in her sleep and it always freaked her out. The blonde let out a shaky breath looking next to her to find Jay still sleeping where he had passed out earlier. 

With a sigh the blonde pushed herself out of bed throwing on her underwear and Jay's shirt before she tip toed out of the room closing teh door behind her. Zoey's footsteps softly patted against the floor as she entered the kitchen grabbing herself a cup of water. "I'm surprised your awake," the sound caused Zoey to jump nearly dropping her cup. The blonde turned around to see her brother standing on the other side of the island in the kitchen. "You know your really loud, like I'm pretty sure half the block heard you. Jayy... Jayy" Kelly mocked with a smirk. 

Zoey let out a small laugh as her face went a bit red from the comment. "Shut up," was all she said taking a sip of the water. "Why are you up?" Zoey asked changing the subject, "I thought I heard something out here, and came to check it out" her brother replied as she nodded. "Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you," she said softly as Kelly shrugged. "I wasn't really sleeping anyways. So what's got you awake at 4 am?" he asked looking at his baby sister. "Night terrors," she replied honestly. "Wanna talk about it?" Kelly asked walking over and pulling the blonde into a hug. "Not really, I'll um. I'll get over it." Zoey said letting go iof teh hug before walking past her older brother and plopping down on the couch. 

Kelly followed taking a seat next to her, "Well when your ready to talk, you know where to find me Zo. Don't stay up to long." Her brother said before hesitantly walking back to his room, pausing one last time to looke at Zoey.
